If we retained bilal, winks, Ricardo fit for the season, Abdul and Stephy as good as 23/24, we get a decent striker in, we get a manager who can incorporate our academy players, then we have a chance

I didn't make an assumption that we would win the league.  I said it wouldn't be 'delusional' or 'astonishing' to expect that we would be challenging.  You have  quoted me whilst trying to counter an imagined point that I never made.

So where is this 12 point deduction coming from? Lots of speculation within this forum without a shred actual proof…. And I get the club isn’t as healthy as it once was, but **** me we’re not at the stage of wandering around in our pants begging for coin. 
 

The squad even in this condition is better than any team in the championship. With the right managerial appointment and some decent business like last time, even with a deduction (that still might not happen) we would still stand a chance of winning the league or at the very least going up. 
 

The championship genuinely is shit, and there’s not been a case like us previously, so you can’t say we won’t go up, we could still beat readings record with a 12 point deduction, that how many points are up for grabs. 
 

We’ve still got players that are far too good for this level, if we keep most of them, and blood the quality youth players we have and do some good business we could still be more than good enough to go up. 
 

People just need to stop trying to catastrophise every element of the club to make out we’re some kind of lost minnows, we’ve made some mistakes, ****ed a few things up, but we’re by no means finished……. 
 

I’ve got every faith that this season is going to be better than the last at this level. Nothing but a hunch, but I’m just so excited by the youth, and provided we get the manager right it could be a very good season.

Add to this for all the shit this club puts us through last two summers we have brought in some unknown prospect at a reasonable price who have outplayed their price, would not be shocked if we pulled a decent striker or cm out of our arse ala Fatawu/BEK

In years gone by I was always confident that adversity would bring on a siege attitude. So many examples of that down the years, but no chance now.

I can't get rid of my doubts over this one. It's just not like us to operate like this, sounding out a new manager and planning him to be in. 

 

Also, there isn't as much noise around then I would be expecting from the media side, which I find odd. 

 

I really want to believe you, @SecretPro and I hope you're right and I'm wrong, but something doesn't feel right to me. In theory the timing of everything seems to fit, but it's Leicester City lol, it's too convenient 

 

I hope you can understand my doubts, with previous experience of this club and the way it has been ran on the past.

 

I have my fingers crossed.

That's a lot of if's and unfortunately there is the permanent fixture of the lunatics running the club into the ground 

 

I do agree though if Top, Rudkin, Whelen and Glover were to **** off we'd have a good chance

Not giving the new manager much time to find his feet , and to work out who goes who stays , then he needs to try and bring in new players , maybe the loan players he wanted has gone elsewhere , we just drag our feet on everything we do

The Foxes, who parted company with Ruud van Nistelrooy on Friday, have held talks with Wednesday over a compensation package for 36-year-old Rohl who is also of interest to Brentford as assistant to Keith Andrews.
