You know, if he was to join a Championship side (not us with the history), he might actually do alright. But maybe back to France is a better move for him.

I’ve said numerous times that our midfield lacks a ball winner, as I posted the other day with his stats, as you’ve said yourself, he can do both sides of the game. We have midfielders with ball playing ability, but not really with any defensive ability, Mattsson was a very viable option for the ‘6’ role. 
 

Let’s hope we get gifted a midfielder with some defensive ability in the next few days, if not, then I seriously worry about contending for promotion.

Theyve absolutely gone for it. Lucky for them that they have such a high revenue because the majority of their recruitment this window is shite I think. They'll finish around 10-12th which isnt actually that bad on your first crack at the league, but for their investment they'd be wanting playoffs minimum.. aint happening
