Foxes96 Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Wonder if this means Mads could be off..? Or whether he’ll just be 3rd choice and/ or possible player-coach?
DLH Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Hopefully low wages. Hopefully 3rd choice. No complaints if that’s the case.
Popular Post JimJams Posted 19 July 2025 Popular Post Posted 19 July 2025 A known quantity to the manager. A keeper who has spent the majority of his career at a high level. Free. Hopefully cheap on wages. Either 2nd or 3rd choice. Lots of experience with a coaching role eyed up you'd imagine. No complaints. 5
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Likely just a glorified coach really. Which isn't a bad idea. 1
JimJams Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Just now, Sol thewall Bamba said: Likely just a glorified coach really. Which isn't a bad idea. Well yeah. A coach who can basically fill in if needed. A multi purpose 3rd choice essentially. 2nd is Mads goes. 1
Seventyseven Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 You don’t really need a 3rd choice keeper in the championship, just give the spot to a youth keeper and if one gets injured get one in on loan. Assume we are sorting out a transfer away for Mads. 1
FrankieADZ Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 if hes on a low wage and its a year contract then fine
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 We don't have a GK coach at the minute do we? If he can come and do both roles then great 4
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Good signing whatever happens. If Mads stays, he can be third choice combined with a more active coaching role. This also means our best youth keeper can get a loan move. If Mads goes, we bank the profit and use AB as 2nd choice. We’ve saved £80k odd a week with Ward and Iversen going so should be making a significant saving on wages whatever happens 2
Swarles Barkley Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Scenes when he becomes our first choice keeper
DezFox Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 If low wages and no more than 2 years I’m ok with it. If we get him it gives us a little security to allow mads to leave. Bring him in, mads moves, dominos start to fall.

RonnieTodger Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 I don’t mind him as a back-up, but our squad’s average age is 58 already.
Bert Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Yeah don’t mind it as long as it’s a 3rd choice role. Looking at the bigger picture the experience he’ll bring could be huge. 1
Simonb Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Back up for Jacob for when Mads goes. Probably want a 2 year deal though which I'd be sceptical about. Ideally a one year deal with a second year if he hits 15 appearances.. only achievable if Jacob crashes out or gets injured. Any money from Mads will just clear a few debts with hopefully a little accessible to go towards a 9
Claudio Fannieri Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Don’t have an issue with this in the slightest especially in the goalkeeper role, think he will come in as player coach and then be back up if required.
westernpark Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Absolute fine as back up to Stolarcyk is Hermansen leaves. Also good to sign experienced players who are independent of the antics of club previously.
FoxesWalk Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 (edited) Anyone know if he’s doing his badges? Would make sense edit: not certain but likely he will go into coaching based on this in The Athletic Edited 19 July 2025 by FoxesWalk 1
Devonfox1884 Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 No problem with this as long as the contract is one year and reasonable wages, i.e. circa 10-15k per week.
Pliskin Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Very good pro, for the right wages I’d be all good with this. 4
