Popular Post Jobyfox Posted 16 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 16 August 2025 I don’t care anymore. He isn’t good enough to carry this team and we need significant investment whether he stays or not. Don’t see us investing wisely (if at all) whether he stays or goes. So it just all feels a bit irrelevant at the moment 7

If nobody nibbled at the release clause any deal will be under 25m I expect that was because it is rumoured the clause is for most, if not all of the fee to be upfront Now they can offer the same value but spread out more 1
CL Fox Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 Apparently not trying in training one bit in the last week. 1

Nick Posted 17 August 2025 Posted 17 August 2025 So we paid 20 million and he’s wanted by a Premier League club who have offered 20 million. You’d kinda want to think that we could identify a target buy him and then turn a profit.
Mike Oxlong Posted 17 August 2025 Posted 17 August 2025 (edited) Looks technically good but disappointing end product since he's been with us. That may be because he is in a team of poor players who rarely play progressive football and more often take the sideways and backwards option just to retain posssession Edited 17 August 2025 by Mike Oxlong 3

The decision to take him off the other day and keep Ayew on was very strange. He's still one of our best players so should have stayed on unless he has fully had his head turned.
fkas Posted 17 August 2025 Posted 17 August 2025 Rumours are Palace are bidding £30m but we've successfully renegotiated the deal to £15m plus Édouard. 2

It wasn’t strange he was awful yesterday, in fact you could have subbed off all 11 at half time they were that bad, but difference was you could see BEK was protecting himself, playing well within himself and didn’t want to be there. i honestly think Matti is being told to keep selecting these players as leverage to negotiate better fees, if they are all missing from the 1st team it shows the interested parties they can low ball their offers. Truth is it’s hurting us far more on the pitch so we need to get these deals done quickly and move on with a squad fully committed to being here. 1

Lack of excitement around new signings (fans and dressing room) and half our players looking to escape. Horrible. 5

The transfer window isn’t what’s killing us, the negligence of the clubs ownership is killing us. If we hadn’t have been such a disaster the players we want to keep might have hung around, but they can all see the rudderless ship we have become.
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 17 August 2025 Posted 17 August 2025 Transfer window needs shutting prior to the season starting. We are currently in an awful position. Players that clearly want to leave who no one is bidding for and players we are actively trying to sell that no one is bidding for. Clear as day we will be abused in last few days of the window with no time to source adequate replacements
Kierzz Posted 17 August 2025 Posted 17 August 2025 BEK is no where near the level of Eze and has a long way to go to get up to his level. He will probably be on a list of potential replacements...but far down that list. 1
Foxmeister Posted 17 August 2025 Posted 17 August 2025 If you offered me all the £30k wages off the books bar Ricky and a lower mid-table finish I’d take it. I’m sick of the rest of them, effort levels are a disgrace amongst the senior pros. 2
