If you want a player the deal will happen pretty quickly. It's been weeks of "negotiations" but it's not like a middle east peace deal. One side makes an offer, the other rejects/accepts. That sort of thing - with modern comms - should take minutes or maybe hours. All this transfer gossip column rubbish about preparing bids and lining up an offer is just word salad. 2

Clearly don’t rate BEK that highly as they think they can screw us to simply make a couple of a million profit on a highly rated player. Think you're adding a dramatic narrative to something that isn't that deep. They've got a large amount of money for Eze, they've just won the FA Cup, they're doing well as a club and they've got the opportunity to reinvest that money in one of Europe's most exciting young players? Pino is very highly regarded, is already a Spanish international and is just generally an all round better player (at this moment in time) than Bilal. He's also a more like-for-like replacement for Eze. 3

Bilal was a move lined up as a backup for a reasonable fee for them.

Which seems fair for both. As long as we ok financially I’d love to keep him for one year.
Scotch Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 ....OR Palace are looking at alternatives since Spurs joined the race.
Simonb Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Another one I can see ending up somewhere like West Ham. 25m + addons/sell on percentage
Sankey93 Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Once Xavi Simons goes Chelsea I think RB Leipzig will come in for him!

Wouldn’t be surprised if we sell on deadline day, I assume we would have heard if he had put in a transfer request?
adejo92 Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Mummy having to work more overtime to get her little Iniesta his dream move to...well...anywhere but Leicester.

A lot of them have loyalty bonuses as part of their contracts. Isak has been very careful to word his statement as not to be requesting a move but rather saying he was promised one. 2
Big_Nige Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 I like how Marti has handled Bilal so far, and how honest he’s been when asked about him. I don’t think he’ll be involved on Friday for the same reasons he wasn’t involved against Charlton. If he doesn’t leave then I fully expect him to be straight back in the team against Oxford, and I think that goes for Winks too. Faes is a strange one, I can’t quite tell if he’s not playing him because of a potential move or because he’d rather have a Vesty/Okoli partnership, but it wouldn’t shock me if against Oxford we’ll see the “best XI” as Marti sees it 1

Often agents have agreements with the club making the transfer, that they’ll pay the loss of loyalty fee’s within their signing on fee. 1 hour ago, mattlcfc15 said: Just seems so glaring that he was pictured training all week, then not in the squad on Saturday. I wouldn’t expect to see Bilal in a matchday squad until after the transfer window closes if he does stay.
Ric Flair Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 I'm still not ruling out Leeds and Sunderland coming in for him. My worry is we then agree to taking Bamford and Greenwood.

Every player has a price that the selling club is willing to sell for but buying clubs also have a price in their head what they are willing to pay. Bilal is young and has bags of potential but he didn't pull up any trees last season, albeit in a very poor side, so understandable teams may be reluctant to spend so much Edited 26 August 2025 by jayfox26

jayfox26 Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 It wouldn't be within his best interests to down tools and not give 100% if he does stay here. If he was to smash it for us, which he should do in the championship, there will be teams in Jan that may be more willing to pay the amount we'd be looking for. However, in such a scenario, we should add January tax. £35m in the summer, £40m min in Jan.
