West Ham is difficult to call. They have form of overspending but if they aren't confident in Potter then maybe they don't spend that kind of money on a player for him if there's thoughts about giving him the boot despite it being early in the season.

After all thats 35 mill a new guy can use in January!

Let’s face it there are going to be a few desperate premier league clubs throwing money around as the relegation slots are not a foregone conclusion. Be pleasantly surprised if he is still here when the window closes.

We know that feeling, to be honest we do that without being desperate.  Its the Rudkin way.

Personally disagree. Opted out of playing on Saturday

Manager in the interview said it was his decision due to too much going on behind the scenes.

Doesn't seem the type to throw a wobbly

I'm still not ruling out Leeds and Sunderland coming in for him. My worry is we then agree to taking Bamford and Greenwood.

Does anyone know what actually happened with bamford? He looked good for a few seasons, was it just age that caught up with him? Or he never got over the injury?

Not sure, one of those that has always divided opinion and had very sketchy form. Was he one like Kelechi that's goalscoring spree at the highest level was when there were no crowds?

If the original release clause was £30m, and palace had reputedly made a tentative bid of £32m, then if what Dorset is saying is true re psr, then it's £35m or they can do one.

At the top level I think you’re right but he had been good previously in the championship with crowds I think?

Potter will be gone soon.

A question of how soon and how much damage he does.

He could get the push in September and get replaced by Nuno (if, as looks likely, he leaves Forest) who improves them enough to make top 10, or he could linger until the New Year with them languishing in 17th before being replaced by Sean Dyche. It's not a gamble a smart and ambitious footballer takes.

If you believe that telling of the story. He’s been slacking in training and don’t forget he stopped training at Genk

Are you up to date with your immunity to his drivel? I had my last dose two years ago ahead of the season but think it's worn off. Oh god.

Time for a booster jab Ric.

i can picture the gritted teeth now as Bilal fires in a second

I think you're right that this is how we could cope if Faes left. I also don't believe we need a LB if VK goes as we could look to Aluko to gradually bring through and/ or call on in an emergency.

Harry Amass on a season long loan seems such an obvious answer if VK goes Forest.

The Leeds fans' view is that it's no coincidence that Bamford's best career performances coincided with the pandemic.

Apparently, he's "too intelligent" for football and overthinks everything – hence he falls apart under the slightest of pressure. Playing at empty stadiums was, they say, perfect for him.

To be fair, "great in training, useless in games" has been a view that has followed him around for years.
