If it’s true that he’s paying his own compensation and he’s taking a wage cut, wow - he really wants this! The fans will respect that, although it does raise further questions about the club’s financial position.

I’ll happily take this. A return to possession based football, and he also has a good record of overreaching towards the bottom half of the table with QPR. Has blooded plenty of youngsters in his time too.
