That would be great, but unlikely. Best we can hope for are loans with some of their wages covered. Also I doubt any of those are on £100k in the Championship, possibly 50k-70k though which far outweighs their value sadly. Probably won't see the back of them until their contracts expire next summer.

Looks like Wilf will be moving on.  Just hope we do not end up with him staying because of Rudkin refusing to be realistic.  Cutting losses may be the way forward and get all these PSR issues out of the way?

Our squad gets promotion as it is without any additions to be honest. I would be happy with going a summer without bringing anyone in and hopefully offloading a few.

Hopefully the scale of this opportunity for him means that he’ll be ruthless in culling those that don’t want to be here, or who’s  attitudes stink. 
 

Only issue is when managers are very much under pressure, which he is to get this right, then don’t usually trust youth too much. 

We're still a fairly big relevant club from recent history. Managers/Players just need to see from previous moves if they do well here, they catch the eyes of bigger clubs.

I'm from Sandefjord, Norway and I would be quite happy with Cifuentes taking over as the new manager. He took over as a manager in 2018 and was in charge until 2021. The reason they let him go was due to financial restraints, not results. Sandefjord is not one of the richest clubs in Norway and are operating on minimum resources. The history prior to Cifuentes is basically promotions then directly relegation. When he took over he changed the way of playing, from hoof ball to more possession type of play. The first season they stunned some of the bigger teams by playing possession style not allowing the opponents to see much of the ball. This was quite funny as the "so called experts" couldn't understand why one of the less glamour sides could get away with playing this type of football. I would say that he transformed the club from being your typical "Burnley side" into a team who played good football and was fun to watch. His time at the club laid the foundation for a change in the way they played and the club ha kicked off from that time. Presently, they are in fifth place in the Norwegian top division. 

 

Regarding new managers, I was hoping for a type like Rohl who has done a good job with limited resources at Wednesday. But you might also argue that Cifuentes has done a good job at QPR? Personally, I'm happy that we're not getting a type like Dyche. He might get results but it's not gonna be pretty to watch. What we need now is a complete rebuild. Getting rid of a big amount of deadwood and start youngsters a chance. Hopefully, Cifuentes will do this. If he gets the job, I hope we the fans will give him time to build a side. Getting promoted and endure the type of season we had last is nothing I want to witness anytime soon again.  Having been a Leicester fan for over 50 years I have to say that last season I chose not to see the matches at time. It was too depressing to watch.

Since Rohl was off the table, this was the next best bet imo. 
 

Couple of red flags in his second season at QPR, but the rest of his career was upwardly mobile.

 

Cant argue with him taking a pay cut / paying his way to be here. That sort of stuff should win fans over immediately.

Yeah I'm fine with this one. Not the exciting up and coming coach or 'safe bet' we would have ideally wanted, but chances are he'll do things in the way I want it to be run at the moment in terms of playing style, youth development and potentially tapping into markets our recruitment team have never heard of.

 

Him in charge and a load of academy lads in the side? I'll get behind that no problem.

My biggest concern is that it' snot coming from a place of good practice but one of necessity.

There's obviously the distinct possibility that he can't afford to prop the club up anymore. It's all well and good saying we should be sustainable and self sufficient but the majority of the top, say, 30 odd clubs in the country these days are getting cash injections in the form of - at very least - loans from their owners in order to spend. Like it or not, it's become part of modern football, if he can't afford to do that anymore then we probably just can't be competitive.

He's a promising young manager, has all the right footballing ideas & education, is a great fit for us in terms of style and youth ideas and wants to grow with this club.

Both things we hugely lacked last season. Cooper's style seemed to rely on us being unorganised and causing chaos, whilst I'm still unsure what RVN tried to have us do
