Mixed feelings about this. Wasn't he in charge of QPR when we spanked them a few months back?

Although a major upgrade on the likes of Wilder.

See the previous 20 posts that they played their reserves while we went full strength

Also in charge when they beat us at home under Enzo.

Was he in charge of QPR when even we leathered em in the FA cup?

The team that also done us at home the last time we were in this league “pissing it”. Phil

He’s going to have some bonuses  if we get promoted and I’m sure he’ll get a new contract aswell if we get promoted so he’ll end up quids in im sure

They delay could be due to the fact they have still not got his room ready at Seagrave?  I can well imagine RVN left some unflushed logs in his WC before departing which have been lying there festering for two months in the recent heatwave.   We know this Club has severe problems flushing away turds.

And Cifuentes has achieved lower key impressive things in Scandinavia.... Alongside arresting QPR's free fall towards relegation in his first season here too?

Also worth noting Iraola was linked with the Leeds job because of his links to and as a disciple of Bielsa - the direction they were going in at the time.

Like I said, my overall point is it isn't all about trying to find who has achieved promotions, won things... sometimes it's about their lower key achievements under budget constraints or turmoil, identity, education which I'm pretty sure what's attracted us to him... Not that "in 2 attempts (seasons) he finished with 6 more points that Ainsworth who finished 20th".

So he saved the club from relegation that’s a plus, and in his second season with his choice of players and his style of football fully embedded in his team he finished with less points per game that the first.

It was only one more win than Ainsworth 2 seasons prior, who ended up getting the sack after a poor start the following season.

Yet this is seen/spun as an upward trajectory by many.

Delay is  probably due to the pen not working and no one else having one, so they've had to order some new pens off Amazon.:teehee:

I thought daka was still sat on 75k

From what we were told by Percy last time we dropped, salaries had approx 25/30% reduction clause. (Still way too much to be paying the 80k players 55/60k )

Yep but also in charge of the same QPR side that made a habit of taking points off Leeds over the last couple of seasons.

What managers did against us with a completely inferior team is pretty irrelevant tbh
