Depends what your priority is, if your priority is to get immediate promotion then we do still have a squad that should have the ability to pretty much comfortably get automatic promotion without too much trouble. However this probably means focusing on playing the established players (which a lot are not good enough for the prem) and sacrificing youth development. So ots a short term solution.

I'd you focus on playing and developing the youth our squad is initially weaker and I agree playoffs would be a good result especially with a points deduction. However in the longer term this is probably the strategy that would pay off more as the younger players improve and our squad gets better or we get big money for them when we sell them.

So it depends on whether the club prioritise promotion (short term) or squad development (longer term)

I would argue you go slap bang in the middle and mix youth and experience, but get rid of the big problems such as Soumare/Faes etc. If that team makes the playoffs, its a success. A year later, that team can go on and win the Championship and have a much better stab at the PL a year later.

Yes, but as already been posted, they played their reserves virtually, we went full strength.

Getting promoted is the number one priority. The financial benefits outweigh anything else. So playing the strongest team will be the way, with youth players playing when we can afford to do so. Different story though the following season as the high wage deadwood will be gone, and we’ll be in a far far healthier place financially, even if relegated, as is likely.

They didn’t stand a chance with our world beater’s like Faes, Soumare and Ayew starting……

Faes did score a worldy apparently,  but no one could see it

So, for those just catching-up, is it definite that the guy has 'verbally-agreed' a deal?

Think he must have been. From what I can remember (due to the fog) qpr played well from an attacking sense but were poor at the back. Passed the ball around well but dangerously. Sounds familiar.

They do exist outside of the UK.   Shame our Recruitement Team are unaware of this. They will doubtless find another 30 yoa + option to stock up our Pension Top up quota.

If Cifuentes is good at finding raw (I.e cheap) talent from Scandinavia, as was suggested earlier on here, then he might have enough influence on the signings for us to get in a gem from that area.

their wages are considerably reduced this season

if they can find a gig in the PL then they’ll leave for sure - the question is whether the club are prepared/psr able to accept lowball fees

I thought daka was still sat on 75k

They also basically played their reserve side in that game whereas we went much stronger.

Mixed feelings about this. Wasn't he in charge of QPR when we spanked them a few months back?

Although a major upgrade on the likes of Wilder.

Hopefully Martì can roll back the clock to a time when we weren't dogshit.

This guy?

Yes.  The same guy who has 5 goals in his first 11 games for the USA national team and the guy who asked to be excused from the concacaf so he could focus on his transfer  to Europe. But he was forced to play in the tournament.

remember when everyone was slating Heskey for England yet we all knew how good he was? Similar situation. You won’t see any Charlotte FC fans saying that about him
