The fact we're struggling to pay £250k compensation is disgraceful.

Or smart

All this crying about him paying the  250k,   it’s probably more the case he was put on gardening leave and he’s just got to pay back some of the wages theve paid him as he’s got a new job .

Everyone moaning we’ve not got the 500k, it actually says in the Sky Sports Article,

“Even though he has offered to pay half of that £500k himself, Leicester had to complete formalities, club-to-club.”

I know. People take things far too literally. Based upon shortened sound bites of headlines. Contracts are complicated things.

Did Maresca have these problems when he came to us? He was in the same situation I believe?

Enzo who came to us with Man City’s blessing after their treble?

*just realised you probably meant work permit.

Yes. I think we all need to take time to reflect and stay calm. Maybe it's Calm that is the problem.

Why does it feel like we are the only club that ever have issues with work permits. I mean, we can't be but certainly feels like it.

I would guess, as you allude, it's fairly common, but usually sorted, so outside of the immediate fan base no one takes any notice.

Can't believe your doubting Jon, he'll get it sorted by September, no bother.

With a bit of luck,  Fluffkin will be blocked by Austrian Immigration authorities as they tend to deny entry to undesirable characters.

Not sure I’ve ever felt more embarrassed than when I read he’s paying half his 500k release clause. As the kids would say, this football club has well and truly given me the ick

Look at it like this - he has been paid a chunk of money as QPR chose to break his contract.  One of the terms of that settlement is that should be find a new job within the next 12 months, some of that compensation gets paid back to QPR.  Its not the same as he is currently employed and he is paying QPR to release him from his contract.

If work was going absolutely terribly, you wouldn't do something you enjoy to wind down?
