Someone needs to throw a few hooks at Ayew, Justin, Soumare and Winks. They should be fighting with how bad they are. Complete embarrassment.

Short preseason. No incomings. A bloated squad full of overpaid, average players, many of whom don’t want to be here and have stagnated here.

He needs to be demanding an actual striker, the football is dire but our options up front are Ayew who can't score goals and Daka who can't play football

Marti being asked to manage us is basically comparable to someone being asked to run a marathon with their hands and legs tied together. I'm sure he's a decent coach and a decent guy but with a cess pit above and below him at the club, he's not got a chance of succeeding here.

He is going to need to change his tactics as we simply don't have the players to deliver what he wants ie high press and inverted full backs on both sides. For this to work you need 2 CMs with legs, 2 fast CBs and full backs who are quick and creative. Apart from Okoli, nobody fits that bill in today's team.

He needs time, we need the transfer window to close and see how he can get the best out of these guys.

With options like Soumare or Skipp and Ayew or Daka, what do we expect. You can't polish a turd. He needs time for half of this squad to piss off, and to get hungrier players in. Preston are showing us what a hungry team can do.

He's not helping himself. Taking off El Khannouss and keeping on Jordan Ayew or Soumare is such a terrible decision.

 

Yet another manager who enables the crap here by playing the senior pros and not giving the more exciting young players a fair chance.

Don’t care what he’s been asked to do or got to use picking Soumare 3 matches in a row, not building around Nelson and giving the captains armband to Justin and Hamza has really got him off to a bad start.

 

Cracks there already. Needs to make better decisions.
