Would love this - and it would be such an easy win for the board to get the fans back onside, which is why they'll never do it obviously.

I assume Pearson hates rudkin so not a chance

I'll cover it on the BTG analysis show on Tuesday, but even in the Championship, you can't play suicide ball with Luke Thomas and Vestergaard next to another on transition. That was hopelessly naive from Marti. He's also got to coach Fatawu and tell him to pass it again, not try to glory ball it every time. Enzo would have given him a massive dressing down.

It's a tough job for anyone in charge though. Restless fans (for good reasons), players who don't want to be here, players who are well past their sell by date... tough times.

It’s the “modern” way. All the best teams through history build from the back or, if you can afford it, have defenders can deal with one on one situations. We are like so many other teams, trying to be a Man City Tribute Act.

He was a coach, not a manager.

not doing to bad at Brum though is he

He was assistant coach, literally the number 2.

Doing well at Brum that have spent huge sums?

Any manager given Soumare, Winks (who doesn’t want to be here), Skipp, and Choudhury as his midfield options would struggle.

Yeah genuinely, what a depressing selection.

Yeah you can see how over run we get in midfield, there is no engine there… just running on an Aldi solar power garden light

So many of our players are looking to get out, our squad won’t settle and focus until the window is closed and they know (or are resigned to 🤣) their fate

Said to my old man earlier, they may as well not be there. Defence bypasses them to go straight to sticking mids, opposition goes by them like they're not there.

Midfield is atrocious, and as if that wasn’t bad enough, our  wings are defensively idiotic. Today showed how easily they broke down our left and created so many chances. :(

Buyers Remorse. Should have gone for Dyche but were too obsessed with this tippy tappy non effective rubbish.

Do you honestly think Dyche would have had us playing more dynamic football ?

I think you are over reacting.

That's just your opinion though which you have yet to provide any tangible reasoning for.

I feel like I have given a fair assessment of how Cifuentes appears to be unfairly keeping our academy at arms length. Unless there's a rational argument otherwise as to why the way Cifuentes is managing the academy players vs the senior players is correct then I won't change my opinion.

No but we'd probably been more structured defensively. More than one way to skin a cat? Today was Dyche Tribute Act 2 Pep Tribute Act 1. Wednesday was Dyche Tribute Act beating Pep Tribute Act on Pens.

He played Monga, Alves, Page and Nelson midweek..

Monga, Page and Nelson was on the bench today.. if we give him time maybe they will break into the first time even though two of them are only 16.

Other than that he does not have much else to work with, Evans and Alves but they have hardly warranted starting imo.

Should stop picking players based on their former glories and salaries and pick those who actually want to be here.

Bloke spent his own money to join us so he’s probably as upset as we are with this squad

What former glories? None of this bunch of spineless big ego lazy ***** have won shit and likely never will.

The manager is to blame for the team selection and setup. I can’t see any justification for Soumare whatsoever.

Maybe we would have been more defensively adept, but he isnt going to turn our crap defenders into good ones (imo) I just think they are not great footballers and regardless of manager or tactics they will still

**** up. And honestly the thought of having Dyche as our manager and watching his style makes me want to puke.

All opinions though

This thought crossed my mind today when listening to Steve Howard speaking on Radio Leicester.

We need Pearson back as DOF. Someone to pull no punches and actually help get players in who want to play for us. He would also have the clubs best interests at heart unlike Jon and Top.

Mavididi and Soumare with their lazy arse attitude would soon be gone, Faes too given how it went with Matt Mills. No one at the club wants to make these decisions.

The manager has problems to deal with all over the park particularly if the aim is fast paced pressing football. Ayew is a competent utility player but not really a forward and Daka doesn’t look like scoring. Central midfield again looks laboured Winks is fine if not particularly happy but needs a partner with quick feet and passing ability. Both central defenders starting today lack cohesion and Okoli is not great on the ball. All the full backs seems vulnerable and get pulled out of position. New blood needed immediately or I fear a bottom half finish. I think the inability of the club to add fresh faces and simply making do hasn’t helped morale.
