You not been coming long?

Canero?

Kenton?

Kerea Gilbert?

Kaebi?

Canero used to be shite, but now he's alright. Justin in reverse.

The decent Justin from 20-22 who got in the England set up should have been the best defender bar none in the Championship, but he has regressed to being average and terrible in the PL (first half of last season was a calamity). Injuries, form, whatever it is… this is a good sale.

If he’s been on the verge of leaving why was he captain the other day? I always thought that was a joke, and perhaps Marti’s way of protesting?

Good move for both. Last year of contract, on big bucks, injury marred and inconsistent form. Goodbye and good luck. This is what a reset looks like...

Tom Collomose seems to have an insider at the club and he suggested that Rudkin was taking a step back and Glover was taking a more prominent role, so there’s an element of me that’s curious to whether this is Rudkin’s work or Glover’s.

Interesting that you post this as I was thinking that this is completely out of character for Rudkin and wondering if Glover is getting involved in sales as well as targets.

Good luck JJ but don't try too hard to keep Leeds up.

Given Glover has been operating in a recruitment role across a number of clubs over the years you would suspect he has developed a fairy healthy network of agents and relationships with clubs which is perhaps helping to move out players.

Main problem is we’ve done it with a week left in the window…

True but that's because buying clubs are getting desperate. Not sure many of our players were attractive enough to be high up on other clubs' lists of targets.

That's a ridiculous price & one Leeds are pretty much guaranteed to regret.

He was one of the main contributors to our relegation with the amount of goals that came from his individual errors.

(There were stats for how many points he alone cost us).

Literally every team last season targeted him as he was the standout weakness in our extraordinary bad defence.

Add in the fact he's injury prone, this is essentially robbery.

If your willing to pay £10m for a 'nice guy' then fair play.

No refunds.

Always felt like those compilation videos of him being out of position were a bit harsh, as they often cut out the bit where Faes has charged out and got nowhere near the ball.

He was caught out so many times, too many times to blame on another player,  especially when every opposing team targeted him aswell.

Don't get me wrong, seems a nice lad, and never caused any drama / issues and at one point, he looked set to be a hot prospect...but saw enough last season to quite happily never see him in a Leicester shirt again.

He was bad last season but you’re right being next to Faes made him appear a lot worse.

Is Rudkin actually improving at his job?

That's great money for a player who has essentially been shite for 3 years.

Could've have seen him moving to Man City for £50m and being an England regular in his first season with us.

That injury absolutely ruined him.

Good deal for us given his contract situation and will be mostly if not all pure profit, has had injury issues and his form has never quite reached the levels of pre injury but a fantastic professional and very good servant to the club. Hope he does well.

Hopefully a few more to follow this week and it gives us the headroom to bring in 4/5 new players to balance the squad where needed and freshen things up to better suit how Marti wants to play.

IMO we need a defender, 2 x midfielders, versatile attacking midfielder and a striker but some of that will be dependant on some more outgoings of people we want/hope to move on.

If only you're dreaming if you think we are getting anything like that i think we will bring in 1 or 2 max or maybe even none

Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s glover getting more involved.

Yeah he had a few nightmares, but did seem to get caught out a lot having to come inside for centre halves that had gone walkabout

Still got options at fullback. Need to prioritise midfielders and striker.

RB: Ricardo, Hamza, Coulibaly

LB: Thomas, Kristiansen, Aluko

That is abysmal. Agreed midfielder and striker are more pressing, but we need a LB desperately too.

To have pulled in the best part of £24m for Kasey and JJ is spectacularly good business on our part. Both seem like really good people and I wish them well - but we need the dosh and these deals are excellent for all parties.

Bearing in mind that Ricardo won't play every game this season, Coulibaly is actively not being selected, Kristiansen doesn't seem anywhere near the squad, and Aluko has yet to play a competitive game for us...

That leaves Hamza and Thomas as our default first choice full backs, if we're honest. I'd love Ricardo to stay fit and Aluko to have a break out season, but the former is unrealistic and the latter unlikely given Cifuentes' preference for Thomas at LB.

Once we sell Justin, a LB has to get added to the shopping list. But I guess that won't happen until Kristiansen is gone too.

Did Rudkin get slated for not getting enough for Mads? But now we're getting good fees for sub par players it's not Rudkin doing the work, it's Glover.  The mental gymnastics some people go to to credit and discredit people is well.... mental.

Not sure that I've seen enough evidence to confirm if these multi-million pound transfer deals are as accurate as rumoured. The club won't tell us and it will be completely ignored or announced as an undisclosed fee. The deal breakdown will be complicated and it's just guesswork from an outsiders position. Pinch of salt.

Spot on to be fair.

We’re also very guilty of overvaluing our own players.

I was with a couple of mates who are ST holders for two other PL clubs and when said about Mads, they think that we’re “lucky” to have got £18m for him.

I loved Mads but the version of him since his injury is quite worrying and has had a dreadful start at West Ham so far.
