Villa play Freiburg in a Europa League final whilst a few years ago we drew Roma under Mourinho in the semi of the Conference League.:nono: A perfect illustration of how much stronger these 2 competitions were before UEFA ended the format of clubs dropping from one competition to the next one down. Oh well, will be a very long time before we’re back in Europe again.

I don't think I understand what you're saying sorry.

 

Redistributing to the highest co-efficient in the CL makes sense to me. It's not a spot designated for England, it's a spot designated for the cup winners.

 

If the cup winners have already qualified then I think the fairest option is to give a league place to the next team in the queue in the actual competition.

We did, Rodgers is notoriously shit in Europe, but it's definitely gotten easier with this new format. Freiburg wouldn't have made the semis five years ago.

Everytime I see Villa do well, it makes me think that should've been us. Both of us were doing badly in 2022, they sack Gerard and get Unai. We wait and end up with Dean Smith.

Got lots of brummy cousins who are over the moon that the Villa have won a trophy. Credit where credit is due they’ve deserved it out playing fryburger for most of the game.

watching tillymans volley that first goal In reminded me of his banger that won us the FA cup. All the goals were great in fact.

also finishing strong and clinching champions league - well done to emery and his boys. It’s nice a midlands team is getting some recognition for once.

Checked the Villa result. Next went onto Twitter and see this 

 

 

 

The contrast in the health of both clubs is truly depressing. The only thing our club is good at doing is banging on about the past and ignoring the present
