To be honest it wouldn’t take much to turn this team into something that looks half decent. 
 

If Winks and Bilal were up for it we’d probably only need a striker and maybe another solid midfielder. 
 

2 or 3 signings (or more if Winks and Bilal don’t step up) and we’re not too far away, but with that midfield and striker it’s a long, hard, season.

 

Let’s see where we are on Monday

Agree, although I'm wrestling with myself as to whether he actually had an objectively ok half, or he was just better than the lowest of low bars he's set.

I think Soumare / Skipp have been okay defensively, in fact the entire team has. We’ve clearly worked on defensive shape, as we have some. 
 

We just need to show more whe. We have the ball, so we can transition quicker. 
 

Ayew also slows the game so much!

For me it's confidence. We need a run of convincing games with wins/battling draws. Also it feels like the players don't trust or believe in each other.

And they look very tentative when pressed.

 

I’d rather have Daka on as he’d do that and frighten them into mistakes. They wouldn’t know that he’s more likely to fall over the ball than do anything with it
