Unpopular opinion: I actually thought Skipp was okay in that half lol

He was - his flock around the corner contributed to the goal and he’s worked well defensively.

Ayew is better than Mavididi why would you want to completely weaken us?

Ayew isn't better than Mavididi, Mavididi is far more creative as a 10.

Agree, although I'm wrestling with myself as to whether he actually had an objectively ok half, or he was just better than the lowest of low bars he's set.

I think Soumare / Skipp have been okay defensively, in fact the entire team has. We’ve clearly worked on defensive shape, as we have some.

We just need to show more whe. We have the ball, so we can transition quicker.

Ayew also slows the game so much!

It is making me laugh at the moment though. He's like an articulated lorry when pressing or running on to a through ball. He needs to be able to drop deeper with someone ahead of him, pressing.

Or just take him out.

Page’s and Abdul’s pressing has been the only half attacking threat that we’ve offered.

He clearly has some license to roam, as we saw him doing that which led to his nice slip, but he mostly does not.

Yeah I like him coming inside more. If he keeps doing that (not the slipping 🙄) that could cause Brum some problems I reckon.

Get Winks and Ricardo on for Skipp and Soumare

Ricardo may be needed to replace Hamza with him being on a card.

Bit of a shame when he’s probably been our best player, but he can be a bit rash. Looks very up for it tonight!

True. I'm just playing a game I like to play called "worst case scenario" 😁.

Said no one ever

Except it does. Depressing as that may be, it will immediately get us higher up the pitch

What a weird football team. Whether it's technique, confidence, focus, can't really be arsed or a mixture, so few of our players are willing/able to receive the ball under any kind of pressure or move it up the pitch.

For me it's confidence. We need a run of convincing games with wins/battling draws. Also it feels like the players don't trust or believe in each other.

And they look very tentative when pressed.

I’d rather have Daka on as he’d do that and frighten them into mistakes. They wouldn’t know that he’s more likely to fall over the ball than do anything with it
