decent news, this. And I wonder if this had anything to do with him being left out of the side?

you know a bit of a “ why should we develop you in our first team if you won’t sign a pro deal with us? “ kind of thing maybe?

Bit of a slap in the face for some on here only looking for negatives. Lots have gone wrong but this is another move in the direction

The negative is that he was left off the bench in the first game after signing his pro deal for Bobby Decordova Reid. Really hope the club do right by Page but i fear that we won't see him play for the first team for a while now that we have him nailed down on a contract, especially when Ramsey is back.

I thought he’d picked up a knock with England ??

Really reminds me of Bellingham stature-wise. Look forward to seeing him play more

I think what sets players like Bellingham and Yamal (probably the two biggest stars to have entered the game from that sort of age) apart from the rest is their ego. Yes they've got all the talent but they've got the mentality to go with it.

Monga came off the bench the other day and his body language is shy. Obviously that's natural for a 16 year old but i'd love for him to get that moment where he gets the winner. Almost like he can arrive at the big stage with a big moment. I think it could be a sliding doors moment for him and I think that if he was to get that big game where he wins it for us that it will propel him into genuine superstardom.

Would’ve been a bit of a risk to include him against Oxford but was fully fit for Cov

His assist against Birmingham and goal at Preston aren’t those moments?

I get the point you’re making but the lad is making about as much impact as possible. He’s still learning the game but I don’t think he’s nervous when playing. the lads first thought is, who should I  embarrass first

There will be a game where he scores a great and decisive goal and gets to celebrate it in front of the Leicester fans and I think that'll bring him out of his shell. It will be the making of him. I think the very great players have that bit of ego and charisma. I would say that that is all that is missing from Monga's game at the moment.

Of course he's still playing and and making a difference in games but there will be a time where he'll explode and I'm just waiting for it to happen.

I get what you're saying that his body language comes across quite shy, but is that really relevant when he plays with zero fear?

Probably the most confident young player I've ever seen for us football-wise.

It's not a criticism. It's more an observation that at some point soon he'll come out of his shell and start to dominate the game in terms of demanding the ball and improving his team mates.

I would say that right now it's a case of youthful exuberance as opposed to confidence. I just think he'll be taking the ball off the toes of his team mates and making things happen. He's too good not to but right now it's like he's playing on the lead a bit.  I know that sounds a bit mad to say when he's consistently getting the ball, making the opposition right back look like a tit and then making the right pass but I just think he's got levels and levels to go.

Within the next month or so he'll get his first goal at the KP and stand there in a "are you not entertained" pose and it'll propel him to a whole other level.
