There are lots of issues at play here, but if I could see a pattern of play that just wasn’t getting results I could accept it to some extent.

But we in the whole struggle to create chances, and can’t keep clean sheets so its failing really!

Hes not good enough but not sure who will replace him.

And yet we are 8th out of 24 (was 7th until yesterday) in goals scored in the league. 🤷‍♂️

Now posters will say it’s only because of the proverbial worldie’s we score but between us and 2nd placed Hull there is only a matter of 7 goals, we haven’t scored that many ‘worldie’s’ to keep us in the same ball park as the 2nd placed club in goals scored.

Leicester 32 v Hull 39, Unsurprisingly Coventry sit way out front with 54.

Not looking to defend just highlight that we are all probably blinkered in our minds eye of how we are performing chances wise because we all come away thinking that game could have lasted another 90mins and we still wouldn’t score, yet that stat suggests we probably would create something.

Also, somehow, we remain 5 points from the playoffs. The Championship is ridiculous.

Wanted Marti to succeed but it’s not going to happen, he is tactically inept and the simplest game plan from the opposition flummoxes him. In the first 5 minutes yesterday Watford attempted to play into our right flank which Ricardo was vacating leaving Okoli isolated and you could see it was going to get us in trouble especially as Okoli can’t find a blue shirt.

And our only other tactic is get it to our wingers slowly, by which time they are doubled up on.

I think that covers his game plan.

Time to play Caranza  and Evan’s up top because we are not scoring many  without a  striker in the side, time to try something new for a change of luck !

The thing is, he doesn’t even try anything majorly different when chasing games, I think Carranza is a pub player but just stick 2 up top yesterday as nothing was happening.

I think his most impressive act is convincing a good portion of the fan base that this group of players is worse than it is

Agree 1000% - for me its about the mentality Cifuentes wants to play with: we either lose from winning positions or get blown away. To me that screams that he is trying too hard to play it safe, which would be great if we were a bottom side trying to stay up. It doesn't fit with the narrative of a team trying to chase promotion. So there's the big issue for me. Is Cifuentes here to help us get promoted or not? Knowing the goal for this season would bring a lot more clarity and context to our results. If we are pushing for promotion he needs to seriously change things or go.

Carrick would be a disaster

If we are going down that road I go for Gerrard.

It has its faults but I’m not having we should look this bad. Not a chance. There are some genuinely good players at this level in our team

Only thing I'll say in his defence is Harry Winks situation will massively undermine him and stuff like that sets in with the younger players.

I'm not defending him though. This is a disgrace. We should be doing so much better. If we had anything about us we'd sack him.

The problem with sacking Marti is a) we can't afford it & b) is there any point as the idiots running the club will only appoint a similar type of manager, who will still want us to play out from the back, something that our players are incapable of doing.

It was interesting to see that someone earlier posted that we don't score enough goals. Actually we have only failed to score in 4 games this season, our big problem is that we cannot defend & have only had 2 clean sheets. If that was improved so would our number of points. That won't happen though whilst we keep giving stupid goals away like we did yesterday & have done in previous games

Hey Marti, have you seen how a proper football coach like Emery changed the game with 3 subs in the 58min?

So why don't you resign NOW and also hand over any fake football manager diploma you have and become a ball boy or something?

Personally I think Gerrard is Dog Poo !!!! Just paying for the name... One win with Rangers in a shit league.     He has done nothing else.
