Football Operations Revamp - Hiring Technical Director, CEO, and Commercial Director - Rudkin moving 'upstairs'

To be fair, if you’ve done such a good job of turning Sunderland around from league 1 to where they are, would you feel like you should be going back down to the level you started at for your next job?

Why would you want to work in this environment and be the fall guy for a regime that has no interest in letting you succeed? Everything goes up the chain to the dummies who either dally or say no to everything because it isn't their idea.

Begiristain could ask for a job on 48k p/a and they wouldn't answer his email.

Sunderland’s model in recent years has been fantastic, Speakman becoming available is like being handed an open goal, it seems he was very much a transitional appointment to get them back on track, ideally we need someone of that ilk, but knowing us, we won’t try to take advantage of Speakman’s availability.

Metaphorically speaking, Top and Rudkin have announced over the PA that they'd rather fly the plane straight into a mountain than let anyone else into the cockpit.

Strangely half the passengers are cheering this news and telling the other half to be careful what they wish for.

Feel like this is a no brainer. I would imagine that a lack of a technical director is complicating us hiring a good managerial candidate. Who wants to come in knowing that their immediate boss and a big part of how they will shape the club hasn't been hired?

Speakman literally did the job we’d need him to do if we go down this year, and regardless, has shown he can reset a faltering football club.

It’s an absolute no brainer, which I can absolutely guarantee we will not go for

Aiyatwat left Rudkin, Rodgers,Congerton, Glover, Cooper,RVN wreck the club.

What hope would anyone apart from the happy clappers have that he could get a decision like this right?

Sunderland also had numerous players on low wages like £2000 / £3000 a week even last season.

We have Scamza on £50000

I bet that changes.....

Stupid idiots in positions of negotiation, but also direction of travel.

Easy to pay low wages in a lower league, almost like Rudkin has a cunning plan.

Bring him ASAP

Not a chance he comes anywhere near us. If he wants another job in England there will be plenty of offers. The lack of any movement towards appointing a manager tells you that either they are hopelessly slow or are unable to get anyone with any ability to express interest in joining the oblivion spiral.

This is the same Ryan that’s actually worked in football, at various different professional clubs, trying to do good things.

Was he successful at LCFC?

Expect more dross appointed when the level of competence at the top is that of Paul and Barry Chuckle. Shit sticks to other shit. Anybody good can see straight through them.

Scrambling because Rodgers and the agents don’t have a suggestion for him, and he used his favour from Wolves scam artist owner for the commercial director so he can form the Leicester Foxes esports team
