In all seriousness, does anyone with the appropriate background know enough about football finances to advise how likely we are to be in serious financial difficulty if relegated this season? How do we compare to other “larger” clubs who have gone down to that level in the past? Given our current level of spend I’m guessing we are more likely than most, if not all, that came before us to be in danger.

The rumoured points deduction would put us in 22nd place at present, I wouldn’t bet against us going down at the moment. Got me thinking that it’s genuinely possible that we could face a winding up order within a few years.

Administration is probably the only way we get rid of King Power / Top

Like with Sheff Wed and Chansiri

Agreed, I obviously don’t want to see that happen, but they have to go.

Yes, however we all hover off separately, as we still don’t technically own the stadium, as that’s in a lease to big contract with a shell Company.

Dont think the difference between champ and league one is anywhere near as much as champ to prem in terms of finances

My understanding was that there were less spending restrictions in League One, hence what Birmingham city did when they went down. Could be wrong.

Look at this crop of players and the incompetency and complacency from the board - we deserve it!

Exactly. I don't even worry about it in all honesty

It's completely self inflicted

Would be a relief at this point. Leave us with our memories and those of us who actually care about football can follow the phoenix club whilst the KPFC merchants all presumably piss off to Belgium or Thailand.

Aside from the 300 odd people who would loose their job presumably.

Things are really really bleak and bad but this is exceedingly unlikely to happen. We’d just end up like Sunderland did.

The Sunderland route seems somewhat optimistic from where I’m sitting? Our wage spending is far higher than theirs was when they went down, how does the cost of running seagrave alone compare to the budget of a typical L1 side?

Coupled with the fact we have various loans taken out from Macquire (the same sharks that played a large part in destroying Thames water) hedged against future income…

People need to get over this 'if you don't think like me you are part of the problem' attitude. Your fellow supporters are actually no more the problem than you are the solution.

Yep was thinking earlier we are 2017-2021 Sunderland in the making.

@Ric Flair mentioned it recently… but I agree. My old man and I said a few years back one “big” team will end up working themselves into money existence…. I genuinely think we could….. we’re trapped in a web of FFP hell, and it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that we end up going bust because we simply can’t claw ourselves back.

Were being relentlessly stalked by the power that be, and seemingly just can’t get our shit together.

Coalville away here we come!!!

It's like a dog that needs putting down. Might be for the best. We've done it all. Might be time to stop worrying about something that's toxic beyond repair now.
