Just part of the PSR fiddle wasn't it.

 

KDH went to Chelsea for £30m on a six-year contract but by then the maximum amortisation period had been capped at five years, so was costing them £6m a year.

 

We buy Golding for approx £4m to £5m and because incoming fees aren't spread over multiple years in the accounts, that first year cost Chelsea £1m to £2m before they move KDH on to Everton for £29m when his remaining value for the accountants was £24m.

At last……a transfer where the incoming player was the least important part of the whole deal, and probably a good deal for us, KDH and Chelsea at the time…..

We need a Jonny Evans. Someone with an old head but with more to give that doesn't treat the ball like a bomb. Preferably someone that can move faster than a snail.

 

Nobody that's going to set the world alight but will come in and do a job organising Joseph, Aluko , Kangasniemi and McFarlane.

I'm hoping Russell is playing down incomings for some reason only he and the club know, because if we only bring in 1 CB then we are going to be grossly undercooked in both central midfield and the striker position during what is a long ass season.

I'm sure last weekend he said we're looking to bring in 3 or 4 more...
