He's safe until he loses another game ain't he.  Then fans will turn again and maybe Top takes noticed again. Personally should be gone a few games ago

It’s frustrating because we will likely go and beat Wigan next but then lose to mid table Stevenage . Enough to keep him in a job but drift us from where we need to be

Any decent board would chop him now. Unfortunately we have a weak, inept board and the last 2 wins have bought him loads more time in their minds. Absolute incompetence throughout the whole club.

100% agree. With him we are just a drift wood floating when we should be the ship sailing away in the league

How many more chances is he going to get?

On paper we have a very strong squad for this level but the way they play, giving the ball away when trying to play out from the back and lacking any real physicality, without pace and absence of threat.

For me, he's now had too long to get this team playing. The last couple of wins should not be viewed as progressive, more like one step forwards, and today, 4 steps back.

I'll be astounded if we win both these matches. Reckon Stevenage will definitely do us

Incapable of putting together any meaningful run of results with a squad that should be romping this division.

over coached and over playing which enables rank average players and teams set traps for us and week after week after week we continually gift the opposition chances and goals and make it an uphill battle because we are too arrogant to accept this slow turgid, possession controlling style is crap and ineffective.

Oh and don’t fall into the trap of thinking the squad can only play his style, absolute pony as most of these players have played under numerous managers who play different styles. This season can still be rescued but only if we swallow our pride and make that change.

Go get Challinor and watch this squad fly.

100 per cent agree 👏

It’s all very Cifuentes isn’t it, an inconsistent mess where a couple of wins leaves Martin clinging onto his job, but you just know a couple of losses are right around the corner, as we’ve seen today.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s going to be another case of a manager holding onto their job longer than they should.

He’s not going anywhere

I suspect that hinges on the next seven days. Two wins and people will be telling us that we're on track again. Two points or less, or even a win against Wigan and a loss to Stevenage, and it'll look untenable.

West Brom would be in League one now if the board hadn’t been brave in sacking the second manager in a season after two shit runs.

Instead they got it right a 3rd time and are sitting in the playoffs after making a tough decision.

The longer this goes on we’ll be lucky to get top 10.  6 points from the next 2 is the bare minimum. Anything less than that they need to give him the boot. Least then the new gaffer will have the international break to implement his tactics.

In his case, 1 day on this job was longer than he should have been given, and I that's not exaggerating for effect. Whatever you say about the managerial appointments, this is the only one where everyone has been outraged at the prospect, yet they still hired him. Madness.

What makes this defeat worse is he clearly changed the tactics for the last two games which got results.

Thick, arrogant or something in between, I don’t care just get rid.

There could be an argument that those two wins will be what sends us down -  bizarrely

Yeah that's it, he will probably get another month now by which time we will continue this rut-like pattern

What makes you think our squad should be romping this division?

Half our players are old and towards the end of their careers and the other half have barely started their careers 😂
