Wednesday will appoint Challinor and then probably go up. We will cling onto this cünt and end up sacking him for Paul Jewell to save us for the last four games.

Why’s it rubbish?

What in the last 5 years proves you right?

What makes you think a new manager (who’ll be selected by King Power) will be an improvement?

Because Martin's style of plays gifts chances to the opposition

That's just for starters I can't be bothered to go through the attacking limitations.

We just need a half decent non-hipster manager that can organise a defence and play direct football.

Same team for 3 games in a week - but when your options are Burns and Cullen (ignoring a good goal, he’s crap), I get it.

Options that he brought in, along with Watson, Howell etc.

I know

But KP aren’t employing one of them again

I’m not defending him. Just an observation about how crap our squad is. I’m not sure how responsible he is for recruitment though based on how we’ve worked historically

****ing Paul Jewell?

I really don't see KP sacking him unless we have no buyers or the offers are to low for them to sell ATM.

They ain't spending what £1m unless they have to.

Tbh, we need a good 5-10 game solid period where he's got his favourites starting just to get it out of his system.

It might be the hair shirt the club finally needs to move on

.after that,  I've got to a level where I just want to see players who seem likeable, capable of improvement and have reasonable fitness / speed. The results? - whatever.

Anything other than watching early.to mid 30s family men potter about.

I wouldn't describe any manager we've ever employed as "hipster" tbh. Maresca at a huge, huge push, but he wasn't plucked from obscurity.

Russell Martin is definitely the most likely manager we’ve had to sit around a camp fire singing Kim Ba Yah.

Yeah but I wouldn't say that makes him "hipster" in the context being got at. He's not some Athletic long read darling who's been doing incredible work in the Segunda division or something, he's a very well known national punchline whose jobs include MK Dons, Southampton and Rangers lol

Hate to say it but we’re in no position to mock Paul Jewell, he’s done more in English football than our last 4 managers combined. I’d snap your hand off to be Bradford in the 1999/2000 season.

Yes, we have sunk that low!

Yeah 25 years ago he was great. He hasn’t had a job for 15 years and I won’t talk about his Derby stint.

Other clubs sacking their managers when they can see it’s going rapidly down hill. King Power will wait until it’s too late and then some how manage to find some one even worse.

You wrote the squad off due to the age profile pal.

The younger players have been the shining light of exactly why we can get out of the division. I believe the squad is too good on the basis of their wages, their transfer fees and their backgrounds.

If Martin has constructed a squad on high wages and transfer fees with the biggest budget in League 1, and can’t get us anywhere near the top six, he should be torpedoed out pronto.

The top goal scorer in the division is a 30 yr old lower league journeymen, 5 of the top goalscorers in the division are plus 30 including 35 yr old Matt Smith and 36yr old Nakhi Wells

I didn’t “write them off” I just don’t agree that we have some sort of super team that would be unstoppable under every other manager bar Martin.

Just like last year when everyone thought we had some championship super team that would walk the league.

Every team is going to slip up at times and Luton away is probably one of the toughest games we will have all season, they are one of the teams tipped to go up by a lot of people and supposedly they have this incredible manager who Martin isn’t fit to tie his laces and yet still we pushed them right to the end got an equaliser with a man down and were only behind due to one of our players, who remember are apparently of a level that they should be walking the league, being an absolute imbecile.

Wigan, Stevenage and Bradford next 3 league games. Should be expecting 7 points minimum there.

Last year we had several players that had already walked that league.  The others had had premier League careers. Ice

An actual striker would have been nice but what happened was a disgrace

Martin is the epitome of it.  It wasn't a compliment

Ridiculous statement.
Obviously we’ll appoint Steve Bruce to save us.
