Apart from this year, what were some of those teams like? Weren't USSR and Bulgaria strong for that era?

Last nights game was a shock to the system. I hadn’t felt that anxious, excited, nervy feelings in any game since the Chelsea cup final. It shows the love for the game is still there, it’s just not there currently for Leicester City

Obviously the Balogun ban being overturned is bullshit. FIFA are corrupt. Take that as read.

 

However I don't think incidents like that should be red cards. It was a complete accident and, for me, it can't be serious foul play or endangering an opponent in an instance like this where you're just running or jumping as normal. Fair enough if you attempt a bicycle kick and boot someone in the face.

 

Also if it was a red, Messi should've had one too.

He was 100% a cheat. But if you watch that performance back, in fact, every game from that World Cup, he was unplayable….. he was excellent in that game, completely ran the show, probably the only player who has ever dragged a team all the way through the World Cup….. it’s completely dishonest, but sometimes that what you need to win major tournaments….
