IIRC didn’t the original preferred bidders at Sheff Wed pump money in during the due diligence process to keep the club going only for the sale to fall through, it does make me wonder if KP have had to pump the money in to keep the club solvent whilst the process moves to the next stage. 
 

After seeing what happened at Wednesday i very much doubt any preferred bidder in our process will make that same mistake.

Why would paying £80 a night convince you to move house? Even imagine youre on an extremely modest for our wage bill 3k a week. £80 is **** all to you. Even on minimum wage you'd think that's alright for a hotel price.

Oh, I can see it. 101 negotiation tactic. What I can’t fathom is that anyone would seriously consider us to be an attractive prospect - attractive enough to secure anything like a reasonable bid. £8.5 million has just been pumped in to keep us afloat. That suggests to me that our position is perilous and any prospective buyer would know that. You don’t pump that amount in if you’re about to accept peanuts.

It is understood that Leicester have been tentatively floated on the market for a price between £160m-£200m. Yet staff have not been informed the club is up for sale and there are doubts that Srivaddhanaprabha is willing to step aside at this stage.
 

Earlier this week he converted £8.5m of funding into equity, essentially to cover expenditure and provide headroom for League One’s salary cost management protocol (SCMP) rules.
 

While the Thailand-based businessman would welcome outside investment, he is also determined to find the right buyer to protect the legacy of his late father Vichai, who died in October 2018. He has made many mistakes.

 

Neil Lal, a Scottish-Indian businessman, publicly declared his interest in buying the club but there have been no talks with any senior Leicester board members.

Yes wage bill has come down a lot but is still way too high with two players on 30000 a week plus. It’s too high for our income hence the 8.5 million transfusion.

 

all the staff I talk to are well aware the club is up for sale and it’s a constant internal topic.

 

Lal would have to speak to Top he is the only Board member all the others are management. Doubt Top would entertain Lal for 10 seconds.

 

Top will sell to the highest bidder which is a concern as they may not be the best for the club going forward.

Simply that the cost to build what we have would be immense.  Building a ~30,000 seater stadium would cost easily 200 million (Brentford spent 71m on ~half that 8 years ago), the training ground another 100m.  It's not about what it cost us, it's what it costs if you buy another league 1 club to get to EPL standard.  Add to that we have a squad which under proper management is good enough to get out of this league, and you have every chance of getting 150m in my view.  Throw in our sister club and why not?

I’ve paid more for a travelodge 😂
 

However as an employer, you kinda have to pay for staff expenses

Do we know the wage bill last season?   Surely it was more than 42m ?

Our crowds and income will also be 'around double or more' to make up for that.

Our crowd so far is 27,744 against the average of 11,302. That includes us as Sheffield Wednesday who are the only two clubs over 20k.

Have I missed something where it quotes 2 players are on £30K a week +?

 

It also won't necessarily be the highest bidder either, it could quite easily be someone who bids £10m less but has the financing in place and has a bigger chance of taking it to completion, much quicker.

It’s already been said elsewhere on here, if the players are required by the club to stay then it’s free, if the players choose to stay on their own accord then there is a fee to pay
