I think it’s simply nobody slightly suitable came in before. This looks like a desperate move. We could be in real trouble

maybe lower the buy it now or the best offer parameters on ebay

Well if we're into administration better to go this season and end up in league one as we're headed there any way  than wait until we're relegated where we'd likely end up in the National League assuming we still exist as a football club.

A deal is most likely almost done and that's the real reason Rudkin and McCarron out of nowhere came out for an interview as its an attempt to hold onto their positions

I really hope the new ownership can look at Rudkin's record over several years and see straight through a desperate attempt for him to cling on. It will be such an easy win for new owners to send him straight down the road.

I think 380m inclusive of debt. But why if you had that money would you spend it to own Leicester for 200m debt free. No one is making money from owning football club, a lot of buyers just want prestige.

Nah I agree mate, be mad to but either, especially us.

If they have any football expertise advising any potential owners, he will be gone within six months

Think we are at the very lowest where purchase is still viable, with the possibility of a Brum style quick promotion in the next year and a half. If that goes I do not see anyone buying and trying for a double promotion to even be a survivable asset. Don’t see a world where we are bought without admin etc in L2 and the VNL even if we could survive it

The club has value because 15K+ turn up and pay good money every week.

What doesn't make sense is that the club is worth more with 15k turning up to boo the team rather than 5k turning up to support the team.

I think he'll be gone, any prospective new owners with a modicum of savvy will know of the ill-feeling towards him and see it as a massive open goal to bin him

Get rid of Rudkin and bring Susan back with Pearson as DOF

I imagine it was more misguided complacency from the club with Peterborough at home being targeted as a chance to get those interviews to coincide with the turning point for the season and the suspected start of a good run of form. What they didn't account for, was that just because you tell everyone that everything isn't actually shit, and that they do care and that they are doing their jobs, doesn't make it tru, and what we actually witnessed was years of being ran so poorly leading to another 'lowest point' for the club. Its quite poetic really.

Sky News are mis-representing the asking price though

It isn’t just for the mens team, it includes the womens team and Leuven as well

Three liabilities for the price of one then. Private equity firms must be queueing up.

Football regulator report.

Could have put this in any of a number of threads but quite relevant here I thought

Phew!

We're not alone.

Though it does mean that lots of clubs struggling off pitch like us, are doing much better on pitch.

smokescreen to draw attention away from dreadful league form and rising pressure on inept manager??

No, the ownership is many magnitudes more important than the manager and football results at the moment.
If anything the shambolic manager is doing well to distract from Top with his poor results being a talking point.

If we are still losing £1m a week and on the verge of administration, then someone needs to give their head a wobble.

It would make no sense signing the likes of Cullen, Burns, O’Hare etc, if they’re on big wages.

I’d imagine we are still losing money, however it can’t be to that amount (surely). If it is we need to take some drastic measures as cash preservation should always be first in any business mind when it tanks and we they are in the position we re in.

Realistically we need to maybe trim back the non playing side, as whatever all of these analysts, scouts etc do, as I’d say we are currently seeing no benefit from them. I’d even suggest shutting down Seagrave and mothballing the place. Better to only lose £30k a month running the joint, rather than the £150k we currently are etc

They need to reduce all non essential like external

accommodation, expenses, social media and stop using all external companies to sponge money etc. You can always find ways to save money in a big business we all do stupid stuff, that in hindsight is somewhat excessive. We can’t continue to run with a Premier League outset, with a League 1 income.

On top of that, we should be exploring selling the stadium, either training ground, canning the women’s team etc, as it is more about short term survival, rather than long term growth.

You think a player joined us from an EPL club to be paid a pittance, its clear we still giving out lucrative contracts.
Glad we agree on Seagrave.
I also think Seagrave will likely hinder a sale unless there is plans by the new owner to borrow against it to offset purchase cost.

I think the comment from Jake on BSLB that he has it on good authority that the owner wants the club sold by Christmas has gone under the radar a bit.

If true, that timeline is WAY faster than any of us expected.

Agreed by Christmas is do-able, doesn't mean completion will happen before Christmas - I'd eat my hat.
