We need another striker but so far it's been a good window considering the players (money) we have got rid of too.

There are 3 midfield positions, doesn't matter if he's a 6,8 or 10 he's still competing for that third midfield role alongside Skipp and Braybrooke. Cullen the other day against Genoa was filling the same spot in the team as Page, even if they have different roles.

 

He is also competing for positions on the bench of which there aren't many. After you factor in the new signings and the existing players he will struggle to get into the matchday squad.

 

I think where he is most likely to get game time is as Braybrooke's backup but ideally they would have played together.

 

I think a loan is best for him, if he has another season where he barely plays we are at risk of stalling his development.

Martin is known for his willingness to play young players if they're good enough. There are 46 league games to play. Alves will get plenty of minutes and may even be preferred over Burns if Martin believes he's the better option.

It is imperative we get out of this division at the first attempt. Were you genuinely comfortable with having Alves and Carr as our only options at RW? That's a lot of faith to have in an injury-prone 21-year-old and a completely raw 18-year-old. If they're good enough, they'll play.

Can't sign him as he's from the same team as one player we've just signed (really..) and apparently we're now the new Ipswich and not Southampton, which we were a week ago
Can't sign him as he's too short and needs to be 6ft to bring our average up
Can't sign as he's too old (lots screamed about wanting experience)

Can't sign him as he's just had an big injury (he's well over that but too old to properly recover, apparently)
It doesn't matter what Ipswich fans (seems universally positive) think as West Brom didn't like Albrighton so what they think is irreverent.

This forum can be hilarious (why I keep coming back ) with the constant changing of goal posts set which seem to swing wildly from one set of criteria to another for the perfect signings we should be making. While I share some of the concern's about how this could be bad, there are also some positives about the player that we absolutely do need and lacked with the losers we had hanging around the squad. 

 

One aspect we don't know yet is the fee or how generous we have been with the wages, that is what we have to be careful with regardless of the subjective opinions of those on this forum whether one likes him or not.

Unfortunately we know if Rudkin  has any dealings with this between his agency mates then we'll have had our pants down. We better all hope these signings work out as we have to win promotion otherwise liquidation is a real possibility.

Still think Skipp could go. 

 

RM does have a decent record playing youth, pretty standard to have 2 player for each position,

 

I can't see us going out of all 3 cups in the first round so like to be over 55 games this season, think he will play plenty of minutes. 

 

Only people I have concerns about minutes wise is Evan, Hutchinson, Carr, Gray and Neale would I would get out on loan.

He's played more minutes at PL and Championship level at 17 then Alves and Braybrooke combined at 21.

I think you've got to add Aluko to that. He also had a very good pre-season. The big debate will be, who to choose at RB, Joseph or Aluko. I guess Joseph's stint at Tranmere, might put him ahead,  but Aluko looked good in the few 1st team games he had, last season.
