Sjoberg

(I cheated)

I was in a lift at the old Lewis's store on Humbestone Gate many moons ago, when John Sjoberg got in.

I was jabbing my mate in the ribs excitedly and whispering into his ear, 'That's John Sjoberg, That's John Sjoberg!'

I was around 12 at the time and very star struck.

Speaks and plays like a leader, we need that 👊

I don't know much about him, but I was expecting a Scandinavian accent....but I was laughing as he's full on Scouser! :crylaugh:

I think Skipp played in the Champions League final and Zieler has been in a World Cup winning squad!

I think it was Harry Winks who played for Tottenham in the Champions League Final, which I guess still makes your point

Exactly this :D it was like watching a Gerry Adams interview from the 80s, the voice didn't match the pictures :D

Agree. But from what I’ve seen they’re saying Page further forward and this is what I disagree with. He’s clearly best when picking the ball up in the middle of our own half and driving with it.

100%.

Page isn't a 10. Better using his ability to turn on the ball and drive with it from deeper areas.

Page is great as he can turn with the ball rather than pinging it instantly back. He is the reason we have been getting up the pitch quicker and gives Sammy space to get up their as well.  You could tell he was a team player last season.

The clowns making the 2 yard passes under a press in the box and Reid are the blockers in this team at the moment.

We need someone in the middle that can make tackles, foul when needed and get away with it. Also someone to be a voice to make a ref listen.

Hopefully he can provide this.

If there's any of the new lads that's going straight in it's Doyle in the 10 imo.

Those three could build a phenomenal midfield for the level of given the chance.

Get ahead in the game. Bring him on to shore up the middle of the park, to replace Page or Sammy, whichever is most fatigued.

Simple

Think that plan might fall down on the first sentance.

Doyle as a chance creator/goal scorer.

Braybrooke as the box to box all action midfielder.

Page as the progressive midfielder that runs the game from deep.

Very good and balanced midfield for league 1. To think we played with Skipp, Winks and BDCR in midfield for much of last season in the championship and our midfield now is miles ahead of that one.

Don't know an awful lot about him, but strikes me as a player who will just be steady and do the dirty work thus allowing the more creative players around him to do their thing?

I don't expect any wonder goals, or blitzing runs from him, but he'll bring the grit and physically we need in Midfield.

Basically brought in to stop the last 15 minutes of Plymouth happening.

From his interview in the LCFC site, he acknowledges that he has to fight for his place, knows we have some very good you options, will be there to help and encourage them whilst trying to get into the team.

I believe this signing will benefit Braybrooke and Page, giving them some much needed experience and someone who can help them in games we need to see out or show calm manner. He would have been a brilliant option to have against Plymouth. As others have said, the experience can only be a good thing.

Genuinely, he's been the biggest reason why we've been able to beat the opposition press and get out of own third in the past two or three games.

Our first 11 in league 1 is stronger than last season, only player that has left that would be our best player this season (even that is up for debate) is Fatawu. Page is better than Monga IMO, the team we have currently on paper in a top 10 championship team in my opinion.

IF we go up this season, maybe make one of the loans perm, JJ, braybrooke and Page would have had a full year playing together,  I think we would be a formidable outfit. One step at a time though
