To me he sounded really nervous (understandable since he’s never done interviews). He talked a lot about accountability like Top does but we haven’t seen it. Saying something is important but failing to demonstrate that conviction repeatedly makes that statement meaningless.

i would love to see him do a more In depth townhall style debate but he would get eaten alive by fans. Like everyone else’s impression he’s not what I thought he would be. I expected a bullish, Simon Jordan style ass hole. Very odd indeed.

Very clever by the club, offer up 2 people to be interviewed at very short notice giving the interviewer any prior warning to prepare or to have a chance to ask any probing or controversial questions, especially when it was stressed it would only be a fleeting interview.

However what this now does is kills the narrative or at least starts the clock ticking again, that the club don’t communicate. Complete PR stunt.

The Merc lads could have 3 months to prepare and the hardest question would be "Do you prefer cats or dogs".

Timed it to coincide with what should habe been a routine home win as well.

Couldn't have backfired anymore spectacularly. Herhilys one big decision this hear and hes had a stinker lol

You've seen this mealy mouthed tosser hiding behind Aiyawatt for a decade and were expecting him to be like Simon Jordan? Lol

Anecdotally from the few people who have dealt with him professionally and spoken out, he’s awkward and aloof.

Would love to know what he learned, as we seem to be repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

It would be interesting to ask him why he is the guy to turn this arround.

I'd never heard him speak before, and he sounds exactly like I thought he would - clueless and totally inept! And to have the nerve to even mention the Premier League when we're in the arse end of League 1 just beggars belief.

I think it’s more cynical than this given it’s come to light today that the owner is trying to expedite the sale of the club.

Why now? What’s changed? Has he suddenly discovered the importance of communicating with fans, or has he realised that his own position might be under threat?

A new owner isn’t going to be sentimental about the existing heirarchy. They’ll take one look at his joke of a record and he’ll be out on his arse and he knows there’s **** all chance of him ever getting a job anywhere else.

This isn’t transparency, it’s self-preservation IMO.

That's all this was ever going to be. What are the main buzz words they have a go at us for. Think of the top 3 and mention them a couple of times in our organised interview so that we can cross them off the list. Absolute load of horse shit, the lot of it. I said the word accountability so therefore there was accountability. What a load of crap. If there was any accountability he'd be out of the door.

This was a bit of a hail mary attempt to try and cling onto a job because he knows the thicko above him is actually going to go at some point. Nothing more terrifying than if it came off as well. Imagine if we finally get rid of this clown and he happens to sell it to somebody who falls for this. That would be utterly mortifying and probably enough for me to actually give it up tbh.

I can’t imagine anyone wanting to buy wouldn’t be aware of the current fan situation, I’d imagine first thing on their slate would be to bring the fans back on side to increase attendances etc, and they will know Rudkin and Martin are the two root causes. Out of the two I’d imagine it’ll be easier and cheaper than sacking Martin.

Neil Lal, who got mostly hammered on here I am pretty certain would have Rudkin and Martin straight out. Sums up how terrible the current incumbent are.

Think we are so scarred we forget even most bad owners are willing to change things if they don’t work, it’s only our moron who won’t

For me, damage limitation interviews by him & McCarron.

McCarron still backing the manager & process.
We have already had the time he said it might take, the points tally is probably worse than he would have hoped for, so already out of “learnings” time, time to win games & probably 2/3 to 3/4 of the next 10.

Rudkin just told where he hoped to get back to repeatedly.  How?

I have wished I would have won the lottery since Nov 1994, still waiting for even 5 numbers, dreaming.

Questioners now need to ask, how do we do that with a manager with a career average of 1.5pts per game or less?

McCarron talked about Martin being successful at Saints, play off win, not automatic.

5pts from 16 games before being sacked in Dec 24.  NOT a success.

It feels like Question Time or listening to politicians, it’s total damage limitation.

As politicians do, they are treating the public/fans/listeners like fools.  Firefighting, REACTIVE too late, not Proactive.

Cooper on sky sports. Just made a few comments about culture and leadership at Leicester. Not surprised at where we are…

very rare anyone speaks out at all isn’t it?

He certainly pulled his punches when he was given a platform to say what he really wanted to say. Decent chap overall to be honest.

Definitely made a discreet dig about the hierarchy, the work ethic and the overall direction that they are heading in. Think he was happier talking about anything else other than Leicester by the looks of things, and who could blame him? Gave a nice shout-out for Vards though!

Interesting.

I mentioned on Saturday that the whole of football must know what an absolute shit show behind the scenes we are. Those in the game would have two thoughts about this: avoid us like the plague or sign on and have a great pay day for not much effort

Obviously, younger and/or capable players or coaches will dodge us, whereas those nearing the end of their career and no longer too bothered about their reputation, can just walk into a generous and leisurely final contract.

No surprise we are where we are, I guess.

A few comments regarding the lame questions he was asked in this interview.

I’d be interested to hear what questions you might ask if you had the chance?

You have presided over the most inexplicable, unnecessary and embarrassing decline of a football club in modern times; are you ashamed of yourself and why haven't you resigned?

I think he meant realistic questions for a local radio presenter to ask without losing his job.

What's gone wrong?

Why did it go wrong?

What lessons have been learnt?

What's being done differently as a result?

You talk about accountability - who has made mistakes? What has been done about it?

Multiple managers have been hired and fired but nobody from the club leadership appears to take been held accountable in any meaningful way - is there something the fans aren't seeing?

In terms of popularity the new owners, with anybody sensible have the easiest job in the world. Put ChatGPT in charge of Leicester and it'd be lauded as genius.
