He has no idea how to set up a team woth the players he has.

He lacks integrity and fails to take responsability.  He is no leader.  He will never command loyalty and respect from players or fans.

He’s made two changes that have had a big impact; moving to a back three and going long on goal kicks. These may sound obvious but feel like big changes for him to make. It’s pretty clear we have a stacked squad for this level and he’s only a loss from losing any mild positivity but it’s a sign he’s learned.

Compromised some of his football ideology with his career in the balance, a shame it had to get to that for him to adapt anything, but at least he has for now. It was a bit of a hail mary to move to it out of the blue, but we look more organised at the back and all 3 CBs look more comfortable, we probably played more direct fast passes forward in that 1 game, than we have all season.

Like others say I'll need to see a few more wins in a row to trust it, but hes definitely adapted the approach, even if it was a lucky dice roll its paying off so far.

It’s reasonable to say there are positives, a change in formation and mixing it up which has led to better defensive and attacking outcomes, regardless of who the team have been it’s clearly changed for the better.

We clearly have PTSD from the years of 💩 as the worry is RM will simply change back from a winning team and bring back what’s clearly not worked.

Time will tell, if RM gets it right we succeed and that is the only thing I want.

No idea if we have turned a corner or not, but it’s nice to feel a little bit more convinced that the following game isn’t going to be a new historic low.

Announce 10-0 Luton.

Blind hatred

he’s taken responsibility evidently in his interviews and the players of late have clearly shown no sign of lack of respect for him

You don’t have to like him, you don’t have to want him as the manager, but this kind of blind hatred and complete lies is just unnecessary imo

Maybe this is how it is.  I take leadership seriously...

Lets come back in 5 years and see how he is remembered.

Not my first choice, but he’s at least changing things a little bit and getting results now. Yes, both teams were shit, but we’ve also been thrashed by teams at the bottom of the table this season. I honestly don’t give a flying fvck who is our manager as long as we’re scoring and the players are putting a shift in.

We all know he isn’t going anywhere until the club is sold anyway.

what’s coming back in five years time got to do with blindly hating someone and lying about them?

He needs to do more on a consistent basis to show he has learned or turned a corner after the start to the season.

It feels a bit harsh to say about last night, as we are in the same league for a reason and a 4-0 win away should always be classed as a great result, but it seems like it was more par and at the weekend also.

You’ll never win every game and we know this but the record is still very mixed. A couple more wins in a row and we’d be at 50% wins which is more like a promotion record would show.

Not hard to see why we're in this position sadly when two results against pure muck are enough to get people clapping like seals again. Good news and great to stop the rot but a nod of acknowledgement is all that's needed for now.

I'd get behind almost any manager if we win games. That's all it's about.

That said, we could be top by Christmas and I still wouldn't trust him or this team.

Bromley also beat Huddersfield.

Please don’t bring balanced sensible comments to this forum

it makes me feel lost and confused

A balanced comment towards that game would be looking at xG where two different sources say Bromley got less than 0.2 and Huddersfield got something like 1.3 to 2.0. In other words, a fluke.

We have notably crept up the table in that aspect over the last few games which is very welcome - the xG related figures getting a lot better.

Now we’ve got some confidence, will be important to see how we play against the “better teams” with this new system. I thought before the season begun we need 10 games to see how it goes. Not been great, but has picked up 2 results to finish these 10 games that might have just saved him for the time being.

last night was the first time in a long time that I enjoyed watching us, but a big gulf in class you’d think between Bromley and even our next opponents Luton.

Two wins against shite teams that we should be beating is positive but not exactly a renaissance. It’s better. Tactically it seems better. We shall see. This is an awful league and so far we’ve been awful in it. We just need to keep winning. If we do that’s good for Brussel and good for us.

Too early to say he's turned any corner, but good to have a bit positivity about the place. We all know a defeat on Saturday, and we will be back to square one.

At the end of the day, if we are playing well he should be supported, if we're not then he should be criticised. I'm not a fan of booing before and in the early stages of games, so that should stop as I don't think it helps anyone. However, towards the end of games if it's been poor, I have no problem with showing frustration and getting on his/the clubs back.

Happier to support him if he continues to correct his mistakes and is less stubborn/arrogant with his style.

We need to get back up and I can settle for not particularly liking him if he does that.

In a season where we drew 0-0 to MK Dons, and 1-1 to a 10 man Barnsley, been pumped 4-0 at home by Oxford and 3-1 to Peterborough, I am absolutely enjoying this current spell. We all needed this.

Yes the opposition were shit, but the bullshit tippytappy at the back and the pass the parcel around the 18 years box has ceased. That is the important thing. Quite proud watching Braybrooke and Alves last night. I’m hopeful moving forward, but just hope we don’t return to the awful way of playing Martinball. And I never want to see Burns or Watson play for us ever again.

They still beat them regardless of XG. The final score was Bromley 2-1 Huddersfield. I'm not saying Bromley are a good side, of course they're not. Nobody on this forum predicted us to beat them 0-4 though, most people were predicting us to lose.

People can't comment "oh we're not that good we only beat Bromley" yet don't acknowledge Bromley beat a side currently in 2nd.

I don't believe Martin has turned the corner, it's been two results, but I'll still (try and) post balanced.
