I'm sure whether he likes the style or not, he will enjoy actually winnings games, back to back, one at home and one away.

I'm sure he's not a total idiot, and realises that if he were to get sacked whilst we're languashing down the lower ends of League One, he won't be getting another 'decent' managerial job for a long time. Fingers crossed this continues for the foreseeable, a successful Brussel, is a successful Leicester.

We'll only know if he's changed in 10 games time. Will he continue to play this way if in the next 4 or 5 games it puts us in the play offs.

Will he then revert to his bore fest or continue with the new game plan.

I'm glad he seems to have turned it round but only time will tell, and it's to early to say right now.

He has no idea how to set up a team woth the players he has.

He lacks integrity and fails to take responsability.  He is no leader.  He will never command loyalty and respect from players or fans.

How do you explain the last two games when it looked very much like he set the team up very effectively with the players he had?
Also,iIf he doesn’t command any loyalty or respect, how come so many players he has worked with previously join him?

As for fans. It’s quite simple. Winning games will get him respect.

He's turned one corner maybe but he's got about 30 more to unturn.

Probably take another 8-10 games or so before I believe he has finally cracked it and turned a corner

The other 10 or so games of shite aren’t forgotten because of the last 2 results

100 per cent

However much I have doubts I really want Leicester to win games of football no matter who is in  charge

Not hard to see why we're in this position sadly when two results against pure muck are enough to get people clapping like seals again. Good news and great to stop the rot but a nod of acknowledgement is all that's needed for now.

'clapping like seals'

What a twattish comment, people spend a lot of time and money going to games, I'd got so used to being pissed off at the end of games it's been a delight to have that warm, happy feeling back at the end of a game. More than happy to show my appreciation and applaud the players. Yes Bromley were poor but it was still a good performance by the majority of our players, if only someone could teach them how to get the ball off the ground when shooting and that would have been 0-8.

The formation switch has really helped us. We look more solid defensively and we have more bodies in the right area to help move the ball forward. We keep the two 8’a up high but have a solid base with Page and Lundstrom mopping up counter attacks.

We’re moving the ball quicker at the right times, we’re not overplaying in the wrong areas, or progressing up the pitch at snails pace. 3rd man runs and overlaps. All good to see

If, and it’s a big if, Martin keeps these rather basic principals and doesn’t revert to suicidal high lines with zero cover when attacking then we’ve already turned a corner as it’s been his tactics that have  held us back. I don’t yet believe he will though and he’ll be itching to go back to a 4-3-3

We need an agressive string of wins where the new crop cement themselves as being hungry enough to want to dominate this league.

If we are top 3 or 4 by the end of the year, that gives us enough momentum to believe going into the second half of the season.

About time Baybrooke, Alves and Page put their stamp on the club.

I was very vocal pre Doncaster about the need to get him out ASAP.

Long way to go but the last two games have shown a change in formation and approach that should be acknowledged.

One last chance. He’s on very thin ice but a week ago he was under the water.

I have been on strike since ht of the posh game. We have won both since so might just stay away. Whatever anyone says a couple of wins whilst nice do not excuse the absolutely disgraceful displays we have put in for the majority of games so far.

For a relatively young manager he’s managed a lot of games.
You would hope that he’s finally realized what is needed and not passing endlessly and going nowhere.

I’m still less than convinced.
We have played 2 of the worst teams in the league consecutively.
The positive I will take over the recent games is that at the very least he’s changed the system and tried something different.
I hope for his managerial career he’s turned the corner but I doubt it.
I still believe we should walk this league with the players he’s got at his disposal but if he does last the season I see similarities with when he got Southampton up in the playoffs and can see us being around those spots without challenging the top 2.

Paragraph 8 of the Mercury article is very relevant here. Martin says he was annoyed, because, "we took too many touches"! Perhaps he has changed!

I reckon the fan that confronted him has turned the tide. 'Play the way we want you to play, not what the owner's want'.

I do think we have played well under him. Poor mistakes have cost us and the fragility of players once they have a setback.

Confidence is so important in football and wins give you that.

Huh? Until Saturday and last night we've been awful.

Hopefully a change of approach and being more pragmatic will turn us around. He's a stubborn, dogmatic individual so only time will tell.

We still had 75% possession and past it around the back a fair bit, the changes are the formation and the keepers passing.

The rest of the play is much the same.

So why didn't he learn from Southampton (I accept he got them up via playoffs) and his sacking and ridicule when at Rangers.

Maybe it's taken us to make him be a bit more flexible. His career must be on the line with us. Failure to get to the play-offs, at the very least, could be the end of him as a serious contender in upper level football management.

I can't help but laugh at the irony of this.

It just adds to the belief that the man is out of his depth and doesn't really understand the game. It's his ego that drives everything he does in football. (And maybe socially)

Agreed. It looked better at times. Players did seem to feel more comfortable with the formation and as a spectator, it was a decent watch. I did get worried when we got to the halfway line and it seemed the CM's didn't have much of a clue what to do next and passed back. That could be due to a lack of an attacking target man.
