Really looking forward to this.

For some reason I thought this movie was going to be in black and white?

Parts of it - later in Oppenheimer's life, around the time of the court case. First time B&W IMAX has been used.

Watched this again the other night, have it on Dvd.

The final confrontation on the island, at night, with the old style Japanese mansion in the background and a storm starting looked epic.

I had the afternoon to myself and quite the hangover after Eurovision and so I spent my time productively- I watched Highlander.  A true classic of the 80's nonsense-sci-fi-fantasy genre.  Great fun, Queen sound track, Connery wearing a peacock and some of the delivery from Christopher Lambert is Eurovision esque in it's wonderful awfulness.

Had a quick google and it seems like it has the capacity to be a pretty original, fun story. Hopefully they pull it off! I try not to watch the long trailers for fims anymore, as I alwasy feel like they put too much content in them.

Will be interesting to see if we start getting more films regarding Artifical Intelligence, considering the recent hype around the subject.

"Best Sellers" - Aubrey Plaza, Michael Caine & Ellen Wong (Knives Chow in Scott Pilgrim Vs The World)

Young woman who inherited her father's struggling publishing firm is faced with having to sell it. She turns to her dad's most successful author, who hasn't written a new book in nearly 50 years, and is now a cantankerous old man.

Really enjoyed this, found it very funny and heartbreaking at times.

Bloody hell didn't expect Guardians Volume 3 to leave me like a blubbing mess at times.

The wife and kids dragged me along to see it today.

Not really my thing, but as a child of the 80's I bloody loved the soundtrack.

Thank you for reminding me that children and families are currently able to see daytime screenings.

I was planning on going to an AM show but will put it off until the schools go back.

Beau Is Afraid was... special.

Can't quite recommend it as I wouldn't really describe it as palatable for mainstream audiences. However if you loved Hereditary and Midsommar, it's by the same guy which might give you some idea of the sort of thing you're in for.

It's very long, a bit self-indulgent and often quite confusing, but very funny and at times and extremely absurd at others. I think I enjoyed it but I'm just not sure!

Re watched Silent Running.

Dated visuals, yes. But 50+ years on, it still carries the most powerful message, and one that is becoming increasingly relevant, quite possibly prophetic.

It will undoubtedly become the next wave of sentient AI's favourite movie.

Old - one of those Shyalaman movies with an ok twist at the end although you could see it coming.  It was average I'd give it a 5.

Fall - wasn't expecting much but actually quite good.  Some tense moments 2000ft in the air but some daft stuff mixed in.  Took ideas from other movies with an ok ending.  I'd give that a 7.

As someone who doesn't really watch animated shows or movies, I've got to say how well done both Spiderverse films have been, absolutely loved both. The soundtrack for both films captures the mood perfectly. Took my Mrs last night, who hasn't seen the first, and I heard her mutter "What the **** is this?" about 5 minutes in, by the end she admitted to really enjoying it and wants to watch the first.

Air. Sometimes business type films can be quite dull and full of jargon but found this fascinating. Imagine if that Nike deal with Michael Jordan hadn't gone through. Really good acting from Matt Damon. Seeing Chris Tucker away from the usual comedy stuff worked well too.
