Just watched the Luther movie on netflix, flimsy ass plot but Andy Serkis makes a great villain!

Worth watching if you are a fan of the show.

I watched this over the weekend. So many plot holes and parts that were just a bit too farfetched - however I kept watching to see how it turned out.

Just a bit disappointing given how good the TV series is.

Jamie Lee Curtis winning an Oscar is an absolute nonsense. Her role was not Oscar worthy.

I think Stephanie Hsu deserves it more personally but I’m glad JLC won anyway.

Don't Look Up - it was ok but a bit too smug I like satire a bit more subtle, the Trumpian president made it feel a bit dated!

Midnight Express - a proper movie! Brutal and immersive, really worth a watch if you've never seen it before (on netflix).

An oldie... fell upon "13 Days" .

A Costner film about the Cuban missile crisis. Surprisingly good!

Bruce Greenwood as President Kennedy is damn good in that movie.

And Michael Fairman has a great turn as Adlai Stevenson at the UN.

Never seen an episode of Luther. Wife insisted we watch the film.

Wife continues with her 100% record of only ever recommending completely shit films.

Cocaine Bear

So ridiculous, over the top and violent.

But

I just can’t help but love animal attack movies

Aftersun was great. I reckon it’ll be polarising, but it was really evocative.

As I posted elsewhere I thought it was magnificent.  Film of last year for me. Incredible lead performances, and a first feature for the director. Still can't believe it only got one Oscar nomination.

Yeah it was tremendous. I won’t ruin it for others, but despite its slow nature, I was hooked for the entire thing.

Very believable and emotionally compelling.

Shutter Island is a great movie, but think Wolf of Wall Street is my fave.

Good question that.

Acting wise for Leo has to be the departed or Wolf of Wall Street.

Favourite Leo film for me is Inception.
