Watched 'Coco' yesterday and thought it was fantastic! Pixar at their best.

I love the whole concept of day of the dead in the Mexico anyway so that helped.

I also enjoyed that film, but after the 200th or so watch I'm a bit bored of it (got a toddler).

The Super Mario Bros Movie. Fun nostalgic and colourful watch. Shame it's only 90 mins long 7.5/10

Took the little one to watch it today. As a Mario fan I loved all the references to many of the games spanning 40 years, although for me the plot could have been much more sharp and witty.

I felt the length was about right as despite my love for the games I was starting to lose a bit of interest the longer the film went on. I can see why you felt it needed more time. I actually think they needed to not try and cram 40 years of Mario iterations into one movie and drip feed the nostalgia over 3 or so movies as clearly they're intending on sequels and it all felt a bit too rushed at times.

I enjoyed the film and so did the little one, but understand why it's getting very mixed reviews as I think if you're an adult who isn't swayed by colourful animation and have limited knowledge of the Mario video game series, there's very little substance to keep your interest.

It's already been ruined for me by seeing people talk about it non stop. Nostalgia bait has become insanely boring for me as well. I just wish they'd spend the budget on something new.

Watched Sicario again the other day, one of my favourites. While we're in the era of the metaverse I want to see a showdown between Alejandro and Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men.

Smile

The first "victim" genuinely did have a creepy smile (probably why she was the face on all the promo's)

After that a pretty "meh" film.

I remember her in Neighbours.

(no really)

Tetris - not what I expected but I loved it.

Big fan of taron Egerton, and he smashed it again

Yes it was decent enough. Kind of reminded me of The Courier in the tone, what with a foreigner going over to Russia for business and being surveilled etc.

Used to have a decent collection of Tartan Extreme Dvds but sold most off a few years ago, still have a few goodies remaining in my collection, like the Ringu box set, the Wailing, Ichi the killer etc., but I've never got around to seeing Pulse, looks interesting and the comments beneath the vid on YT sound promising.

Is The Wailing any good? I never got round to watching it.

Strangely enough I cant remember the exact story, I enjoyed it but have not watched it in years, gonna have to rewatch it now, have the Dvd stashed away alongside a Tartan Asia Extreme Dvd I bought but have still not got round to watching Versus, I got that to round out a few movies I got from HMV a decade ago lol
