Madeleine McCann

Wouldn't it raise questions as to how it wasn't picked up before?

Probably a mistake not to bring the dogs in earlier. Seems they were looking for a missing child and only got suspicious when alerted by the discrepancies in the McCann's and the Tapas group statements.

Second part of the question, what would it prove?

You seem to be deliberately misunderstanding the argument Webbo! Two separate dogs (one a blood detector and another a cadaver odour detector) at different times both alerted at the same places in the apartment the McCann's stayed at and the Scenic. The blood contained a "high" marker content of Madeleine's DNA. The same blood also gave the scent of death (Cadaver). Hope I've explained the PJ's position.

Why wouldn't there be Madeline's DNA in the apartment? As for the cadaver smell did the dog say whose cadaver it belonged to?

Second part of the question, what would it prove?

What would it prove? Really? If a full match DNA of Madeleine had been found in the hire car five weeks after she died, how could it possibly have got there?

The McCann's could not provide a definitive DNA sample from the apartment for Madeleine.  The hairbrush, shoes, toothbrush etc., they said were shared with the other children, so the police could not extract a sample that would be Madeleine's that they could use with certainty. So not a case of no DNA but no definite DNA.

That's the second time you've answered that question and neither have been convincing.

Here is a novel idea... test all the samples, then take DNA from the other children, with their results it enables you to rule out their DNA and you are left with Madelines.
