What's the reason for that, Oz?

I really cannot explain, it has happened on both sides.

Basically, every time we approach an election, the ruling party realises they are going to ,lose and they then change the leader.

But its not that simple. worst of all the front runner today is a right wing nutjob.

Our Conservative party is called the "Liberal Party". (yeh go figure).... the right wing of the party feel the current PM is too Centre..

The Liberal party is expected to lose the next election (exected May 2019)... and many of the seats they are struggling in are in Queensland which is our redneck state.

The ones that utterly baffle me are the union jack / stars and stripes waving really pro-Murica, proud, nationalist types that wave ACTUAL nazi flags. As in swastikas.

Your parents and grandparents literally went to war, crossed oceans, gave their lives, in many cases volunteered to fight and defeat the Nazi party. You're waving their flag.

Even if you are a white supremacist of some sort you'd think you'd at least want to rebrand it somehow in your head. Nope.

I consider it a reminder that not everyone, or not even nearly everyone, in the US or the UK was against the idea of Nazism during WWII (even though those nations were fighting against it) or even now.

When you have an idea of supremacy (white Christian male) that has been the predominant one throughout most developed countries and throughout most of the past thousand years of history or more, then that idea tends to die hard, even when it's associated with the wholesale oppression and sometimes death of those it considers inferior.

It scares me witless, because now it has the appearance of wanting to take the form of economic genocide - in other words, even a white male from England will not be immune if he doesn't conform to this astonishingly cruel form of Darwinism some people seem to believe in.

So, cro-magnons who believe themselves more patriotic because they bark the National Anthem mindlessly - they grind my gears and terrify the living daylights out of me simultaneously.

It worries me too, mostly because a simple look at evolutionary history tells you how that philosophy ends.

That being said, all you can do is try to help those around you one at a time.

People who post on social media complaining of a 'migraine'. If you cn bring yourself to look at your phone, you do not have a migraine.

Also people who tag when at hospitals or doctors to get attention, or devoting status's for people who have passed - Using the death of a loved one just to get likes is disgusting.

I should come off social media.

Have often fancied a pizza to order online for delivery after a long day, but am put off by the hefty prices for them.

Domino's and Pizza Hut can get in the bin tbh in terms of "great value".

Bugs.

Bed bugs, garden bugs, water bugs. Crawling bugs, flying bugs, bugs that can swim, bugs bunny.. Etc. They all need to go. I don't care about your well-put, carefully written reply regarding their importance to the ecosystem, they need to go. Especially cockroaches! Did you ever step on one of those mean mugs? It feels crusty and slimy at the time. Like how?

They need to go, man.

I get that,I will say something on here ,as apart from a few I’m anonymous and when my dad/nan died I might mention it on “ How was your day”it’s a place you can express your feelings rather than the sympathy vote.

would never mention it on social media for the exact reasons you stated.

New terrible advert... Halifax Ghostbusters

Why are they superimposing this melt into films? How is it relevant to selling the bank's services? Why do they use such a pathetic baby-faced arseworm as the new face of Halifax? I'm guessing they are paying a lot of money to use the likenesses of Ghostbusters/Top Cat/Flintstones/Wizard of Oz but I don't understand why

Bring back Howard, he was a bellend but at least he didn't pretend to be in films

There is nothing wrong with expressing feelings and talking helps, sometimes it's easier to talk anon, and just share memories or get things off your chest etc. I completely understand that.

I'm aiming at people who post deliberately for likes and sympathy votes.

Just wanted to vent about some imbeciles, and in general how entitled people are.

Someone started up a Thorpe Astley Christmas Market, to bring the community together and have an event near Christmas in an area which is quite distant. No issues with that at all, and seems to be quite popular with lots of support. I've been watching from afar and it seemed fine. They want to host this on Braunstone Town Council land.

Today they're kicking off because it turns out they've done all this promo and arranging BEFORE ASKING PERMISSION of the landowners, who have refused it saying the Football Club who play there have a match and that with it being winter they'd chew the ground up badly.

Boy, have they not taken it well, whipping up their Facebook followers saying the council have been "unreasonable" and seemingly, with no hint of irony, not considering that before making themselves look a fool by promoting this to the hilt, they should've asked permission to host this AGES AGO. But no, they're the angels in all of this, entierly in the right.

Can someone help me, because I genuinely don't get how they can think they're the victims in all of this?
