Babylon Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Cannot believe I'm still reading they we've had "soft fixtures". We were nailed to the foot of the table for most of last season as a newly promoted team ffs, none of these games are meant to be "soft" for us. 1
Merging Cultures Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Where's the ladies ? Doesn't Leicester have one of the highest percentages of female ST holders ? Not diverse enough I counted 6 at least.

People on Twitter have now moved away from the "Leicester haven't played anyone decent yet" to now saying "we haven't played any of the big teams away from home"
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 People on Twitter have now moved away from the "Leicester haven't played anyone decent yet" to now saying "we haven't played any of the big teams away from home" Have they suggested who the 'big teams' are we? It's difficult to tell right now.

Vlad the Fox Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Reminds me of the championship season where every team we played produced their worst performance in ages against us. We are so fortunate in that regard ............. I can remember forest fans telling me they had a better team than us the year we went up and that none of our players were good enough for the premier league saying we'd need to buy a new squad to stay up.
Popular Post katieakita Posted 20 December 2015 Popular Post Posted 20 December 2015 Perhaps we aren't a good team we just have a knack of playing every team on a bad day a bit like Don Bradman who was lucky enough to face accurate bowlers who only ever hit the middle of his bat 5

Utter stupidity.

MC Prussian Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Some absolute classics in this thread about us on the Forest forum. Read Matt1982 comments they really are laughable. http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=44157&page=6 Matt1982. The epitome of everything that's wrong with modern, consumer-oriented football. Once upon a time, Nottingham Forest were a no-name club. Along came Brian Clough. And he gave them the best years they've ever seen. We might fade, we might not - just like Forest did after 1993. For now, I'm just enjoying the ride. If we end up Champions at the end of the season, wouldn't that be an amazing (current) end to our rise up the leagues like Phoenix from the ashes? As others have pointed out in that Forest thread, us being on top at the moment gives hope to all other lower-league teams, indicating that no matter the circumstances, there's still a chance of upsetting the status quo established over the course of 20+ years. Our story is a football fairytale, giving inspiration to the entire world of football. 1
LC/FC Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Funny how these people don't realise how plastic they actually are.
Bilo Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 That Matt1982 - he must be having a laugh. SURELY he's on the troll?!

Popular Post Raw Dykes Posted 20 December 2015 Popular Post Posted 20 December 2015 Wow. Those Matt1982 comments were painful to read. You'd think a Forest fan would understand how badly money has damaged the competitiveness of the PL over the years. Now we finally see what could well be the green shoots of recovery, and he's upset! What a mouthbreather. I'd have been very happy to see a Spurs/Everton/Newcastle at the top at xmas for once. I'd be delighted if any club outside the big 5 was in our position right now. We're actually doing so well that I feel like I can't really enjoy it as much as I should be - it still doesn't quite seem real. When you're a fan of a club outside the big few, surely the hope that one day your team could compete on a higher level than you've ever seen is what gets you through the bad times? If I believed that the top 5 positions were cemented by the same 5 clubs forever, then I doubt I'd have much interest in the PL at all whenever Leicester weren't in it. It's been a long, long time coming, but now it finally looks as though we might have a fairer league again. Even if the rest of the season is a disappointment, the fact that we're top with almost half the season gone is evidence enough for me to believe that it can be done - it is possible for a smaller club to put together the best squad in the country for a fraction of the price of the giant clubs' teams. What Matt1982 couldn't get into his thick skull, despite being told numerous times, was that a club's size isn't set in stone. If Leicester and Chelsea were to carry on as they are for a few years, their statuses would eventually swap over. If we, or any other club our size, could win a few trophies while a former giant struggles at the wrong end of the table, the plastics change allegiance - the former small club expands its stadium and the former big club plays in front of 20,000 empty seats. There's also a number of former huge teams stuck in the lower leagues. You don't need a long memory to be able to remember when Chelsea were a run-of-the-mill, mid-table club and Man CIty were playing in the 3rd tier. Now there are people like Matt1982 claiming that they should always be at the top and that the top should be a closed shop to everyone else. Give me strength. 5
1966fox Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Nice to see a lot of sensible comments on the Forest forum, respect
AjcW Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 I'm not surprised at the good comments on the forest forum. I live and work in Notts and haven't heard a bad word, in fact most have said they'd be happy if we won the league. 1
Finchy Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 My favourite thing about this season is how people are being forced to change their opinions, and it really highlights the ignorance of most football fans (i'm sure we're all guilty of it occasionally too). September - "Mahrez is the only good player, the rest are championship standard" October - "Two man team, the rest are championship at best" November - "Three man team, if Kante, Mahrez or Vardy gets injured they're ****ed" December - "Apart from Vardy, Mahrez, Kante and Drinkwater they are bang average, the bubble will burst after christmas" Long may it continue, hopefully by May the whole team will have been noticed. 4
johnny the fox Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 I see real madrid scored 10 today in their league.. very competitive...
