MC Prussian Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 Hmm, he always does well in my FIFA UT (in a 4-1-2-1-2) as an attacking midfielder...
Guest shearfox Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 His a good player, 2 year contract at most though...
stourbridgefox Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 Garry Parker was over 30 when we signed him and he weren't too shabby was he?
Adster Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 QPR signed Shaun Derry from almost relegated Crystal Palace before their promotion season and look how that turned out. He was ever present in the QPR team that won promotion to the Prem. Age means nothing.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 I have a two word response for those worried about Koren's age. Ian Harte. Koren is a proven performer at this level and is creative in midfield, something we desperately needed this season. A good potential purchase if it comes off.
GLC Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Kevin Phillips is 38 and he's scored 16 goals this year. would people care about his age if he was here and scored that many? no!
burni Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Good thing is about this is that he played for nigel so hes not an unknown quantity. This can only mean he thinks he will do a good job and I trust that. 32 who cares hes a good player with experience? and all the people saying we can do better is silly, 'buying better' didn't work under sven in the slightest. Were buying one of the better players from a team who this season just finished are a better team than us
DanTheFox07 Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Koren is Like a fine wine, only get`s better with age
steveherbe Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Koren is Like a fine wine, only get`s better with age What, you mean he's hard to distinguish from cheap plonk when you're pi55ed?
Saxondale Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 To quote Mike Bassett: "if you're old enough, you're good enough."
TrentFox Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Maybe we should just swap squads with Hull? Excellent ! Do you think if we did that that NP would then try and buy everyone back, just to piss them off all over again ???
Uncle Phil Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Excellent ! Do you think if we did that that NP would then try and buy everyone back, just to piss them off all over again ??? I think so. He'd buy everyone, then get sacked and we'd have a bit of a groundhog day style fiasco.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Koren is Like a fine wine, only get`s better with age He's not Giggs or Scholes. He's an ex-West Brom player and near the end of his career. He's still a good player, but he was better a few years ago than he is now in my opinion.
Simo86 Posted 3 May 2012 Posted 3 May 2012 He's not Giggs or Scholes. He's an ex-West Brom player and near the end of his career. AKCJ Posted 3 May 2012 Posted 3 May 2012 Isn't that the case for most players over 30? You're just pointing out the obvious! I find you often have to do that to some folk on here
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 May 2012 Posted 3 May 2012 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7720762/Foxes-make-Koren-move Foxes make Koren move Pearson looking to raid former employers for Slovenian midfielder Sky Sports understands that Leicester are looking to start their summer transfer business early and have lodged a bid for Hull City's Robert Koren. The Foxes invested heavily in their squad at the start of the 2011/12 campaign, but were unable to force their way into the Championship promotion picture. Having missed out on a play-off place, they are now looking to piece together plans for next season. Further additions are expected and manager Nigel Pearson has wasted no time in identifying possible targets. He believes Hull midfielder Koren would be a useful addition to his ranks, having worked with the Slovenian during his time in the KC Stadium hot-seat. It is understood that an offer has been put to the Tigers for a man voted their Player of the Year in a recent supporter poll, and the Foxes are now waiting on a reply.
Tielemans63 Posted 3 May 2012 Posted 3 May 2012 Have we not signed him or anyone else yet? That's it. We're going to get relegated. Sack NP he hasn't got a clue.
Kitchandro Posted 3 May 2012 Posted 3 May 2012 Isn't that the case for most players over 30? You're just pointing out the obvious! You'd think, but a lot of people don't seem to be grasping it.
Happy Fox Posted 4 May 2012 Posted 4 May 2012 Middlesborough want him as well http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/9687248.Boro_look_at_Tigers__Koren/?ref=nt
Stevosevic Posted 27 June 2012 Posted 27 June 2012 King, Wellens, James, Danns, Drinkwater and possibly Koren. Something has got to give.
Mark_w Posted 27 June 2012 Posted 27 June 2012 I know he's a quality player but I really can't see why this is necessary when we have James/King/Wellens/Danns/Drinkwater . Still, In Nigel We Trust.
MGLCFC Posted 27 June 2012 Posted 27 June 2012 He's got something most of these haven't - creativity and technical ability
