Incredibly late to the party on this but half way through The People V OJ Simpson on Netflix. I’m enjoying it.

The guy playing Darden is ace. They’ve nailed Clark, Travolta as Bobby Shapiro is excellent, not sure about Schwimmer as Kardashian, bit of a pathetic character and Gooding Jr was, for me, a poor choice to play OJ.

Star of the show is Jonny Cochran and the guy that plays him though.

Top Boy S3 is seriously unexpectedly wholesome. lol

Well aware it won't stay this way but the banter between Sully and Jason and between Jamie and his brothers genuinely has me laughing.

Good writing tbf.

Best TV talkshow host ever.

The man behind the puppet, not the puppet.

Although the puppet's fantastic, too. There has never been a more abusive hoarse hare on screen before.

Just finished it, I thought it was excellent, very well written and acted although I occasionally could of done with subtitles! Great soundtrack as well which fitted the program perfectly. Sad, funny and violent the last 3 episodes had me on edge all the way through.

I can't watch anything without subtitles theses days

Top Boy was one of the best things I've seen in a while. I missed the first two series a few years ago so binged them all back to back. It's quite rare that I really find characters believable but I thought Dushane, Sully, Dris and all them were very authentic. Agree about the music too

Finally watched S1 of the Sopranos. I know you’re supposed to hate most of the characters but it doesn’t mean I hate them any less

‘The Boys’ on Amazon is a must for anyone who liked Deadpool...it has a smidge of Breaking Bad in there as well.

The dolphin scene... I literally spat food at the tv with how funny / ridiculous that was. Decent watch!

Really enjoying 'The Capture' on the BBC.

It’s decent but gone a bit weird. Will have to see what the end of the last one was all about.

You can tell it's been deeply missed:

It's just not going to work in 2019 anyway - you can't take the piss out of the way people look for comedy reasons.

The days of just Mary Whitehouse being offended are long gone - people actively search and desire to get upset about things now.

Curious to find out how far they can go with the franchise - at some stage, the "nostalgia/80ies feel" bonus won't work any longer.

Will they enter the 90ies at some point?

It's a great series, but the current cast probably can't count on the kids bonus for much longer and on the whole, it starts to come across as a bit of a desperate attempt at keeping the series alive just for the sake of it.

Series 3 already had the weird Soviet element to it that felt somewhat out of place.

Well, yeah. SJW activists will find racism in anything.

Nothing to do with "Spitting Image" using caricatures of people in general - stopping with no one, attacking the whole political spectrum. They have used large lips and mouths on a variety of characters before, including the Queen...

EFnThbQXUAAf-ph.jpg

It's meant to be offensive on the surface, facial features exaggerated on purpose to be more easily identifiable, but simply treats current topics as satire. It's satire, FFS! lol

But that's probably too much for a guy like Mr. Carter who did not grow up with the original format.

Oh, and if Mr. Andrew J. Carter (very fond of his middle name it seems - hints of narcissism?) only realized that he's operating on Twitter and a Social Media platform, he wouldn't be surprised that anything can be found quickly by means of searching or retweeting.

And he brandishes everyone with a more or less valid argument as a "racist". I guess when you have no more arguments...

(But I'm digressing again)

Looking forward to the new Spitting Image. If it's as good as the original, it'll be an instant hit.

Because in times like these, we need satire dearly.

At least it’s still ok to be offensive to gingers
