He's sure to divide opinions. Looking at the player ratings some have given him each game it's so up and down. I don't particularly rate him on performances so far although I hope he improves. He looks slightly overweight and is slow. His distribution and positioning are not that great either. Drinky was excellent today and I just think he'll be suited more to playing alongside Kingy and I think the team will benefit more too.

What are everyone else's opinions on him?

Sort of player who will usually always be 7/10, does nothing extravagant, but gets on with his job quietly and solidly.

Very suprised with the ratings tonight, thought that was his best game so far. Koren went quiet second half, and work tremendously well with Drinkwater.

This much improved from Wednesday night relates to minutes on pitch I think and he broke up play very well.

Looks weak in a 4-4-2 system, but in the system we played today (4-2-3-1), I think that despite not being spectacular he was given a job and he executed it fantastically.

I didn't like him at first but he's winning me over! He does the basics very well and he had a good game today.

Drinky and James might not be the flashiest or the most physical but these two boys know how to keep the ball. I thought our ball retention was excellent today and it was in no small part down to the tidy work these two were doing in the middle of the park.

King only just came back from an injury that's why, I can see King being in the 1st team for Boro however

He's only in the team at the moment 'cause of Kingy's injury. I think if he played regularly he would get better and better, he hasn't played much football over the past year and needs to drop a bit of weight.

I really do think he'll be a top player when fully fit and sharp.

I think how quiet both Quinn and Koren were today was down in large parts to both James and Drinkwater who didn't allow them to play. I think he's likely to have a large impact on allowing Knockaert to roam, which at the minute has to be a positive.

Hes the sort of player that weve been missing for the past few years, does the small but effective jobs. However i do feel that King cant be left out of the team that much longer. In a couple of games time i think it will be King and Drinky in the middle, with James being used for certain games (probably tough away games) But for the time being, don't change a thing

Really liked his performance today, thought he was one of our best players, he did everything that Babylon has put in his post.

He isn't the type of midfielder we should of gone for in the transfer window, but he is here and he is here to show his worth and what a good prospect he is.

He defended, linked and attacked incredibly well today, thought he was better than Drinkwater.

People say he does nothing? Check

He plays simple, neat passes to start attacks? Check

He breaks up play? Check

All the defensive attributes of Kingy but he doesn't get in behind with clever runs and he won't score 10-15 goals in a season like King will if he plays every game. Not too sure what the point in him is, really. Hope he doesn't keep King out the team for too long. Not because I think James is bad, I think he's a tidy player, I just think King is better.
