jonthefox Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Ok, so i'll be the first to admit i'm a bit of a Jose mourinho geek. I 'm not sure what it is i like so much about him. Wether its his success , his cockiness or what. So here's my question.Do you have anyone you admire or look up to?. A role model?.Or maybe just a hero too you.
foxfanazer Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Love Mourinho too. I'm a big fan of the best in sports like Ronnie O'sullivan and Roger Federer

leicsmac Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Gratuitous pic of Thatcher Goddamn it Matt, you nearly made me throw up my dinner all over the computer.
Fox92 Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 My hero/idol - John Lennon. People I admire - My parents and both of my late Grandads.
Kitchandro Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 I'm not usually one for revering people I don't know, celebrities and the like. Though if I had to choose anyone, I'd have to say Walt Disney. His ideas have probably brought me about 50% of my life's happiness over the years. He was certainly an inspiring figure and his vision and philosophies are definitely admirable. I even look at his original idea for Epcot - it never quite worked out, partly because he died before the plans were finalised, but I've always found it to be fascinating, the concept alone is truly amazing. Then of course there's always Scorsese, De Niro, Pacino, MON, Heskey, Izzet, Banks, Guppy, and Barry Davies.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Parents and grandparents, MON, Joe Strummer, Jeff Lynne, Matt Groening, Churchill.
Fifties Blue Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 My Mum. Raised five kids with not always a great help from my dad. or a lot of money. Sunday tea banana sarnies or bubble and squeak. I am Rod Hull Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Nicholas Winton "Britains secret Schindler". http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/may/17/salute-british-schindler-104-nicholas-winton What a guy, a true hero.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Strange that mine is a female - but Jessica Ennis. Absolute hero and when she got that gold I was on a high for about a month. Also a consummate professional, like Beckham who also makes the list.
Rocket-Ron Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Never really had one until Felix did this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHtvDA0W34I Now I want to jump out of everything..
Bert Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Admire The missus. She's fucking clever and has a knack of somehow being good at everything. Decent at golf. Otherwise, muzzy is my hero.
Vacamion Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 "Hero's"? I give up... Seeing as you are asking, Churchill. Have read a lot about him. It doesn't matter that he was an aristo and these days would be classed as an alcoholic racist, he was driven and he persisted when others would have given in. Have just finished reading "5 Days in London: May 1940" about how he had to fight within cabinet for the country not to surrender just after he took over as PM and Belgium and France were falling to the Nazis. Some of his speeches are the finest things expressed in our language.
