leicsmac Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Blind men with one hand make that catch, Trotty. Hopefully won't end up costing us.
Aus Fox Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Clarke wont be happy!! All the reviews gone before he is at the crease, hope he gets a dodgy one now....
Bobby Hundreds Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Agar has a hip injury, can't see them making 200 now.
Aus Fox Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 4 Down! come on, Trott will be a very relieved man with that catch
Bobby Hundreds Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Thought this pitch was supposed to be a road? Only Bell has played it well.
James. Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Still 92 to go before they can avoid the follow on. Just saying.
Corky Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 As Bumble kept telling us, again and again, they can bat. Agar can bat. Pattinson can bat. Harris is probably going to open at some point. Siddle is superb.
A fox for life Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 lots of adverts to get through however its a good feed! http://thefirstrow.biz/others/england-vs-australia-test-frs8c3d1
stix Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Sky Sports ashes feed is saying that even if England take the last 3 wickets quickly after tea they still might not be able to force the follow on. Why? I'm not down with the finer points in cricket.
Bert Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 I don't think we'd enforce it anyway for some reason. Cook is desperate for a big score, as well as Trott and KP.

marko Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Sky Sports ashes feed is saying that even if England take the last 3 wickets quickly after tea they still might not be able to force the follow on. Why? I'm not down with the finer points in cricket. It's not that they might not be able to, it's just that they probably won't even if they get the opportunity. The reasons are that it'll give our bowlers a break - in particular Anderson after his exertions at Trent Bridge - the pitch will only get harder to bat on with the sun baking it, so we don't want to bat last on it. Also, if we get a massive lead it will allow Cook to place fielders close to the bat which will benefit Swann as it'll increase his chances of taking a wicket.
Super_horns Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Just think what Swann can do on the 3rd/4th day if he's getting 4 now! Jimmy is getting a nice rest too..
Corky Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Lead of 233. Can bat them out of the game now, bowlers get a rest and the pitch will be even more in Swann's favour in the fourth innings. Time and weather aren't issues, sensible to bat again.
