foxes_rule1978 Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Their looking a bit keen now, it's all over Twitter. Will be hard to see this one off I think, vibe I'm getting is he's not too opposed to leaving and their going to make us an offer that's too good to turn down. I would find it odd, we look like we are going to get promotion and Fulham could go the other way. I find it hard to see what benefit he would get from leaving to move to Fulham.
hackneyfox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Blimey he could turn from 'one of our own' to cnut very quickly.
leicesterisme Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Pearson will be absolutely fuming with that and rightly so, desperations really kicking in for them. Shit club. Geniunley still not worried at all.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Wow, £2.5m, Fulham are really pushing the boat out. Who wants to play for a team that sounds like the way Celtic people say 'film'? As has been said, there's a likelihood of us and Fulham swapping places, plus Liam being a local lad who has often stated his desire to play for City in the Prem... surely it's not a goer. Can't understand anyone who was really a fan leaving to play for a modest club no greater than the one you're already playing for, when you're on the brink of helping the team you support to become one of the best in years.
qwerty123 Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Club not happy with Fulham's behaviour and continued pursuit following bid being rejected Everyone hoping that Liam will stay but money (and London draw) talks
Happy Fox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Transfer request and getting the most amount of money it is then. Don't be another Twattock.
Ric Flair Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Genuinely couldn't give a fcuk. He's a half decent talent but that's all he is right now. If we could squeeze anything like £5 million out of them then i'd piss myself. We seldom get more money for players than their worth or ever worth and if he's that quick to want to leave us then let him go. He'll be back in the Championship/League One within a few years.
Babylon Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Will be hard to see this one off I think, vibe I'm getting is he's not too opposed to leaving and their going to make us an offer that's too good to turn down. Well the rate they are upping their bids it's going to take another 16 bids before that happens.
Finn Claw II Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I wonder what LM's current wages are. I suspect this will end in us offering LM a significantly improved contract which he will sign - His agent will earn his bread this window!
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Can imagine a lot of this publicity is whipped up by his agent vying for a new contract.
Blanesta Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Problem is, they're all shit To be honest I did think that as I was writing it.
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Well the rate they are upping their bids it's going to take another 16 bids before that happens. Yes just seen it's only gone up 500k, thought the next one coming in was rumored to be in the region on 5, not so worried. Still not good that they're unsettling him though, hope it it doesn't affect his performances.
FoxTrott Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Bet his girlfriend is desperate to hang with the WAGs and shop in London. Come on, as much as I like High Cross...
Uncle Albert Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Bet his girlfriend is desperate to hang with the WAGs and shop in London. Come on, as much as I like High Cross... Nah, I know the girl personally, she likes to shop but that really isn't her game, they've not long got back together.
FoxTrott Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Nah, I know the girl personally, she likes to shop but that really isn't her game, they've not long got back together. Mmm but the lure of London over Leicester? That is surely a biggy.
Uncle Albert Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Mmm but the lure of London over Leicester? That is surely a biggy. Yeah maybe she would like to live in London but I know she would never try and influence Liam into leaving Leicester, personally knowing the Lad, I don't think he will leave, this window anyway. Newcastle did excite him, when I said a fair few months ago they were looking at him.
Babylon Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Mmm but the lure of London over Leicester? That is surely a biggy. With his money she can jump on the bloody train every day if it's that big a deal.
FoxTrott Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I can't see him leaving to be honest. It would be a travesty if, as has been mentioned many times, Liam leaves for a club that looks to be likely to be relegated over a club that looks ever more likely to be promoted. I wouldn't be surprised if he's just gauging how much Fulham would pay him, to see if he can squeeze a bit more from Leicester. // controversial disclaimer I do like Liam, but I don't see him as being irreplaceable if he were to leave. Which I don't think he will.
Guest MattP Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 If he demands a move you can blame his agent. How many young happy footballers have we seen over the years now move to a different club awhile really progressing to end up either being sat on a bench or playing at a worse level than the were at the time in just a few years. Unfortunately young footballers aren't the brightest of souls and can be easily convinced on occasions by these older, wiser and ruthless leeches who will use their 'property' to make themselves richer without a single consideration for the player's career. Moving to Fulham at the minute has no benefit to Liam's career consdiering where we are, now we have to hope he is as smart in the head as he is on the pitch and make sure he isn't convinced that's the case by someone who has dollar signs in his eyes.

TrentFox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Am I the only one that's a bit bored of this now ?
Leicesterpool Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I think the only way to get Fulham off our backs is to demand £10million!

Depends, Fulham aren't Man U or Arsenal he'd more than likely get game time there. There are also a far too many people thinking we're already up and Fulham are already down in here.......in 14 days time we could be third and they could be eleventh. Their the current Premier League club I would hardly call it the most exciting move for him in the world but it's not hard to see why it would be tempting especially when you factor in the Premier League pay packed he'll be offered, you get promoted/relegated in May not January. This is ignoring the fact they aren't even in the bottom 3 at the minute of course
