Voll Blau Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 You have a gun to your head and have been told to pick one album to play to a random person who has never heard it before. If they like it, you live. If they don't, you die. Which album do you pick? I'll go for...
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Green Day American Idiot. If they didn't like it at least I would get to listen to my favourite album one last time!
kingfox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Doubt they would like Rebecca Ferguson. So I'll pick Jason Mraz, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. Who cannot like I'm Yours.
One Legged Beaver Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 "In Search of the" by Buckethead, 9 hours 27 minutes long so I'll just aim to prolong my death as much as possible.
StanSP Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 30 Seconds to Mars - A Beautiful Lie At least I'd get to listen to my favourite album one last time before the chance of dying. I'll die one day anyway!
Libertine Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 "In Search of the" by Buckethead, 9 hours 27 minutes long so I'll just aim to prolong my death as much as possible. Technically that's 13 albums.
purpleronnie Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Difficult one. I'd go for Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks, which is also rather apt given the premise.
Langston Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 People's Instinctive Travels... - A Tribe Called Quest. I'd go out on a good mood.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 So many different styles of music on here, they would have to like some of it. In fact, if they didn't like all of of it, I'd break their wrist, grab the gun and pistol-whip them to death!
separator Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 First song is called Eulogy, could be relevant if someone is about to kill you
Voll Blau Posted 2 March 2014 Author Posted 2 March 2014 How can anybody not like it? Interesting choice. I love The Smiths personally but I think they are a bit of an acquired taste. Some albums don't really get to you on the first listen, you have to give them a few plays before you realise how good they are. I think the only album I've listened to in the last couple of years where I genuinely fell in love with it after the first play is AM.
Mark_w Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Not much of a music person. I'd go with Automatic For The People as it's my favourite of the handful of albums I enjoy enough to repeatedly listen to.
Bert Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Original Pirate Material is a great shout. Voll Blau - I'd certainly not pull the trigger.
ozleicester Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 This... Then drop 2 tabs... wont care from that moment onwards
foxfanazer Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 How can anybody not like it? This was going to be my choice! So I'll say Nevermind by Nirvana
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 Not much of a music person. I'd go with Automatic For The People as it's my favourite of the handful of albums I enjoy enough to repeatedly listen to. Quite agree one of the best albums ever IMO
