Spudulike Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luciano_Vietto Interesting Anyone notice if Walsh was in the stand with Nige yesterday ?? "During the spring of 2014, Vietto garnered interest from English Premier League team's Liverpool & Arsenal as well as newly promoted Leicester City, the latter planning to watch Vietto during Racing Club's fixture against Gimnasia La Plata on April 18 2014."

Pretty sure he was - but I maybe getting mixed up with the Reading game.
bald reynard Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Because Walsh is our only scout. No he's not. David Mills (ex-Middlesbrough) is our Chief Scout. He goes where Walshy tells him !
dave_the_fox Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 No he's not. David Mills (ex-Middlesbrough) is our Chief Scout. He goes where Walshy tells him ! wow

He told Calcionews24: (Translation required) "Napoli have not stopped following Vietto, just like many other top clubs." "There is a lot of competition and we have talked with top class clubs like Real Madrid and also with Liverpool and a couple of German teams."

Donut Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 That's us out the equation then. Not necessarily. Lets wait and see
xHamzah Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Not necessarily. Lets wait and see This. Majority of the teams mentioned have strikers which currently are much better which would limit his game time, so it depends on whether he is prepared to sit on the bench or play regular football for a smaller club and of course what his agent wants.
The Doctor Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 No he's not. David Mills (ex-Middlesbrough) is our Chief Scout. He goes where Walshy tells him ! This may come in handy:
Mark_w Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 That's us out the equation then. Because agents never lie.
ibbosuk Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Noooooooooooo. Seriously tho how about him behind vardy with knocky and mahrez either side. Switching flanks. Now pearson is a free flowing football man. Why not take the liverpool approach. Great going forward. Car crash at the back. Knocky is not good enough for a regular place in the premiership.
Stadt Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Vietto could well be signing for us, he probably wants to sign for a bigger and better club, so the agent says big club x and big club y are interested plus some other teams,as a result the agent generates more interest in Vietto hoping to get a move to a more established club that will pay him more.

Bayfox Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Come on then who just got this guy a mention on talksport? Tim vickery doesn't think he's physical enough for the premier league and doesn't rate him as highly as some argies who place him as a future madrid player. Says leicester city maybe beneath him.
Danizen Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 I'm sure Tim Fvcking Vickery is a student of the Argentine game. I bet he watches every week
Bayfox Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 No he lives in rio. But he watches all the u17 u21 u23 tournaments in south america I'm just posting his thoughts as I'd suggest he knows more than a few on here.
indierich06 Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 I'm sure Tim Fvcking Vickery is a student of the Argentine game. I bet he watches every week Well he is the BBC's South American football correspondent and he lives out there too, so I'm sure he does probably catch a few games...
Haydos Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I'm sure Tim Fvcking Vickery is a student of the Argentine game. I bet he watches every week You've had a mare there pal. It's literally his job to watch every week.

Tim vickery doesn't think he's physical enough for the premier league and doesn't rate him as highly as some argies who place him as a future madrid player. Says leicester city maybe beneath him. I heard this, also a little sarcastic laugh from the presenters regarding little old Leicester. Both a pair of pricks, especially the Chelsea fan.
KFS Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 There's a slight correlation between this prospect and Southampton signing Gaston Ramirez. "Newly promoted team won't sign class up coming talent with the big boys sniffing around, don't be silly."
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 Terry robinson wants us to buy him, Pearson doesn't. That's where this rumour has come from
