Steve_Walsh5 Posted 29 May 2014 Share Posted 29 May 2014 We could of signed Rickie Lambert at one stage for about 750K bonkers. Last penalty he missed was against us wasn't it? Mark Bunn saved it last minute if I recall.
Fox92 Posted 29 May 2014 Share Posted 29 May 2014 Also, as I've just put on twitter. Why would you get rid of Carroll then buy an older version?
LeicesterBran Posted 29 May 2014 Share Posted 29 May 2014 I like Lambert and he is a decent player but, Liverpool really could do much better than him and he is not even worth £9 million. I would say that Lambert is worth £2 to £4 million.

lcfcsnow Posted 29 May 2014 Share Posted 29 May 2014 It's not worth signing English players when thats the price you have to pay. He's not even good enough for Liverpool so what's the point? Staggering.

Happy Fox Posted 29 May 2014 Share Posted 29 May 2014 http://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2014/may/gomez-agrees-move? Gomez agrees move Published: 29 May, 2014 by Stuart VoseSpanish midfielder to join on three-year deal. Sunderland AFC has confirmed that Spanish midfielder Jordi Gomez has agreed a three-year deal at the Stadium of Light and will become a Sunderland player from July 1. The 29-year-old began his career in his native Spain, rising through the youth ranks at FC Barcelona before moving across the Catalonian city to RCD Espanyol in 2007, where he spent two years. A successful loan spell with Swansea City in 2008 led to a permanent switch to then-Barclays Premier League side Wigan Athletic in 2009, with manager Roberto Martinez signing him for a second time in successive seasons. During his time at the DW Stadium, Gomez helped the Latics lift the FA Cup in 2013 and scored 11 goals in his last campaign with the club, which culminated in the midfielder winning the Player of the Year award. Gomez is the club's second new face in as many days after full-back Billy Jones agreed a deal on Wearside having spent the last three seasons with West Bromwich Albion. RowlattsFox Posted 29 May 2014 Share Posted 29 May 2014 Interesting summer at Southampton. Surely they should appoint a new manager before selling players. How is any new manager going to look at this? Why should I go there, they've sold all their best players or I can go there and have a decent amount of money to spend? Victims of there own success. Leicesterpool Posted 29 May 2014 Share Posted 29 May 2014 Lambert going to Liverpool would be bizarre, I doesn't quite make sense really he doesn't really fit in liverpool style of play. He's a cracking player without a doubt, but there's no way he should be at a top four club.
