Fox in the North Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Haha, I have my opinion on Nugent, it won't change no matter what. He is not a £15k plus player, he just isn't. So you don't think he's worth that at all? After the goals (top scorer), penalties and assists, he isn't worth the money? Oh dear!
Vardinhio Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Nugent is worth £25k in the prem. Everyone is due a salary increase, they are premiership players now!
MC Prussian Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Had they really wanted him why did they not just talk to him. More agent n paper bollox. Who says he wasn't in talks with them, if only on a preliminary basis? You know, an agent knows an agent who knows an agent. Cell phones. Easy.

With a starting evaluation at £15k a week, that'd actually a pretty sweet deal (if it were true). You can't deny how important Nugent has been and still is to this club and Nigel Pearson's plans. He scores goals, adds quite a lot of assists to the equation and has Premiership experience, too.
Loggy88 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Not wild about this potential signing. 9 goals last season which isn't enough, I'd rather we spend a bit more and get a better striker in.

A bit more? You thnk you get 10+ goals for a bit more than £800k? This will not be our main striker signing I am sure. Chill.

Guest Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Whatever happened to middle ground? It got thrown out with Rob Kelly
Babylon Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Haha, I have my opinion on Nugent, it won't change no matter what. Arrrgh I see, you are one of them.
Callabinho Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Haha, I have my opinion on Nugent, it won't change no matter what. He is not a £15k plus player, he just isn't. Be a good chap and keep it to yourself next time yea?
artursteppe Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 As much as I trust Nige he really does make the most under whelming signings. I imagine you were 'underwhelmed' at the signings of Knocky and Mahrez as well!
Marmite Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 For £800,000 its a bargain really. He has pace and scored goals at this level for other clubs. With him and Vardy up front there pace could prove a problem to defenders
Lambert09 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 His goal scoring record isnt brilliant, 6 in 58 for Sunderland. Just not sure if he adds that much, if we keep Nuge, then I think we only need one more striker. Id much rather someone else.

LCCFox96 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 His goal scoring record isnt brilliant, 6 in 58 for Sunderland. Just not sure if he adds that much, if we keep Nuge, then I think we only need one more striker. Id much rather someone else. He had a torrid spell of injuries at Sunderland and most of those appearances were from the bench. That's why he went to Cardiff - for a fresh start and bouncing back to the premiership first time. It's hardly a fair reflection of his ability and would be like judging Wood on his goal haul this year bearing in mind he has been out for most of it and mainly made substitute appearances. Campbell would be good signing imo.
HoustonFox Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Works hard, quick strong and most importantly unselfish. I think he would fit in here well and let's not forget he and Nuge can talk about being one cap wonders.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 £800,000 is such a bargain. What were Cardiff thinking giving him a release clause that low? No wonder that Iain Moody got sacked.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Always rated him. Sign him up, absolute bargain, thought he'd be £3m or thereabouts.
GingerrrFox Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 £800,000 is such a bargain. What were Cardiff thinking giving him a release clause that low? No wonder that Iain Moody got sacked. His release clause was only activated once they were relegated. No doubt to protect both sides in case of playing aspirations and FFP.
Brooksy Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman hopes the club can keep hold of Fraizer Campbell, despite Leicester City triggering a release clause for the striker. It is understood the Foxes have made an £800,000 bid for the former Manchester United striker, who is now set to hold talks with the Premier League new boys.

Harry - LCFC Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Just a case of whether or not he wants to sign then...
roblcfc84 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 DJ issue was attitude not ability, Campbell always come across committed and hard working. Never struggled to find a club either
Gary Eatfood Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Dj campbell. Mk2 I did have to think twice when I saw the back of the Mercury which read "Leicester hold talks with Campbell". Who? Kevin, surely not? Stuart? Alistair? Ah, must be Fraizer. He'll be a damn sight better than DJ both on and off the pitch too I'm sure.
