maddog Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 He's brilliant. 2 clear chances and 2 Premier League goals scored so far. Fantastic control with the ball at his feet, and his football intelligence is incredible, he's constantly making lightning quick looks to see where everyone is even before the ball is in his grasp. And his defending was awesome today. Best striker we have had since Emile Heskey? Miles better than the crop since we were last in the Premier League and even then I think it was Scowcroft, Marcus Bent, Les Ferdinand (old old) etc. Best striker since Emile Heskey - yes I've answered my own question there Hope he stays fit and healthy all season.
Jakemoore Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Loving ulloa, our new hero! Let's hope he can keep it up!
cc_star Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Nuge looks so shit playing with Ulloa Don't know what game you were watching today. Nuge covered every blade of grass today, really took one for the team. Only Morgan's crucial blocks pipping Nugent for MotM imo. Arsenal's defence had one hell of a tough game today thanks to his tirelessness Ulloa much more mobile today than he was at Chelsea, provided a real outlet for us to produce better counterattacking chances
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Three points to make. Ulloa's team-work today was immense. Secondly, we know he's great in the air. His goal today was as much about Schlupp's cross as Ulloa's finish. I've watched the goal times over and Schlupp's give and go, pace and fantastic cross made that goal. Finally, having made his own chance near the end, he should have taken it. It was a great opportunity. But I'm no more slating Ulloa for this one as I didnt Nugent last week. Both are very important members of our squad.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Ulloa was great as were the whole team. As for the Nuge knockers, bore off, he was excellent for us last season and has a big part to play this season, it's a team game and he does his shift.
Narborough_fox Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 I love him already. His work rate is outstanding for such a big lad and his touch is phenomenal. Showed great composure, although lacked the finish, in the second half. Already looking like a brilliant signing.
Finnegan Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Delighted for the lad. Glad you're glad really. Touch of class Braders, thanks.
shailen Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Amazing, amazing, amazing....thought we overpaid but clearly we have underpaid. Great energy from a big lad and he is unbelievablebin the air. With Vardy back we will be even more menacing up front.
Guest Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Delighted for the lad. Good on you chap. I think there were some Brighton fans on here saying that they thought he could be lazy when he signed and I'm happy to say I've seen nothing of the sort from the bloke, genuinely loads of effort and goals to boot!
I blame Wellens Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Nuge looks so shit playing with Ulloa Words fail me
Babylon Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Not bad for an overpriced waste of money. Hope we waste more money soon.
M0901 Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Love Ulloa, it's like he's been in the Premier League for years. Some good options upfront, not sure we NEED another striker tbh. Very satisfied with our start!
Number 6 Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 His role in the zonal marking of corners shouldn't be understated either. Absolute hero.
Stadt Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 I'm not Nuge's biggest fan but you can't fault him for his performance today, played how a second striker should.
AKCJ Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Delighted for the lad. Appreciate that mate. Good luck with promotion this season. I think you've got the potential.
Buzzell Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Looks a good bit of business from the club. Looks comfortable at this level. Brilliant in the air, has good feet and can finish. One thing I like about Ulloa is that even though he lacks in pace, he still works his socks off, chasing down players to win the ball back. Confident striker. Hope he carries on finding the back of the net.
TrentFox Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 The difference it makes having an aerial presence in both boxes is significant.
AKCJ Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Could he be the new Michu, Benteke or Bony? Seriously impressed with him, finally a big money Leicester signing is paying off!
Lestoh Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Could he be the new Michu, Benteke or Bony? Seriously impressed with him, finally a big money Leicester signing is paying off! Forget them mate, he's an £8m Diego Costa.
foxfanazer Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Confirmed to me today that he will be a very important player for us this season. The way he took the ball out of the air on numerous occasions was a joy to behold. Yeah he should've scored a second but I for one can forgive him that miss on his early showings
