lgfualol Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Our defence is woeful, amazed Pearson hasn't sorted out the set piece defending in his 3 years here. Zonal marking genius
maynefox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 All of QPRs goals are painful to watch. Shambolic defending!
MooseBreath Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Everytime Mahrez had a chance to do something dangerous he did it. QPR did a good job of keeping the ball away from him. They were happy for most of our attack to come from the left as they knew they could easily deal with it.
Donut Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 As it turned out we could have done without ulloa and nugent and played an extra midfielder Ill say it until im blue in the face, 4-4-2 is dead, the team needs depth in it (ie people playing between the lines) and needs a link man/ false 9 behind a central striker. EDIT: I will quantify tonight the ball over the top and the diagonal to Vardy was working well.
JP the Fox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Brilliant from some fans now slating Mahrez, after a whole post dedicated to him only a week or so ago saying how Pearson is a fool for not putting Riyad in the team. Your plasticity is laughable!
SecretPro Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Mahrez has his off days but for some players in the starting 11 every day is an off day - Nige just seems to have an issue with Mahrez, why is anyones guess. Nugent - I mean lets get real here, he's a championship player, he blew his last chance in the prem and he's blowing this one. Seriously i've never seen such a slow decision maker on a pitch, with ball at feet he is woeful, he doesn't even bother to compete in the air. He's pure dilge, when he's on the pitch you might as well be playing with 10 men. Mahrez is our most creative player, along side Cambiaso, Ulloa when he's having a good day. A lot of the team play hoofball and thats all they know. Vardy, I like his engine and his legs, he puts his heart and soul in a game but he can't finish for sh*t. RDL - good going forward. Can't defend to save his life. Heard Nige's interview on Radio Leicester - WTF is all I can say. 'Back 5 played well' - really? Basically blamed mahrez for losing? His decision and substitutions of late have been extremely questionable. Bring on Albrighton to swing crosses in and at the same time take off the only forward who can head a ball and then spend the last 20 minutes pumping balls into the box to the likes of Nuge who can barely be arsed to even jump for the ball? Team as a squad is simply not good enough. Nige was great last year, but just as many players cant make the step up from championship I fear it's the same for managers and Nige seems to be one of them. Oh and one last thing, zonal marking for set pieces? WTF is that all about.
Saxondale Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I can't stand the fact we lost to them - they're utter shite. The Human Waxwork will milk it with his media 'mates'. For all the talk of tactics, finishing, etc, I think it boils down to the fact that our team has lost the knack of winning and lost confidence. It's amazing what momentum does for a football side.
broughtonblue Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Never going to get anything today We only get things against teams that play in red this season, you lot want to relax a bit, well beat Liverpool and everything will be rosy again!
Spiritwalker Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Our set piece defending is absolutely ****ing garbage it really is. Free headers we give away all the time and it was the same last season but the opposition didn't punish us as much. Its embarrassing. Do we not work on this ever???? Kasper is very much under the spot light for me also I think. In the air he just looks dodgy and doesn't command his area well. Fact he ends up making a good save is usually due to his lack of presence anyway. Something needs to change and NP isn't covering himself in glory. NP's loyalty to certain players including Kasper is really costing us.
Lasty Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Ok Nige. Mahrez ballsed it up did he? You're the cnt that signed him. And picked him.
bovril Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 We completely misjudged the gap between the leagues. Ten years to get back up and we're fvcking it up royally. Really frustrating.
Cropwellfox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Win lose or draw, Pearson shouldn't be calling players out post match - it was very thinly veiled at best. He's losing it. Somehow despite this run we still aren't cut adrift and for me the board should thank him for what he's done and make a change now before we do find ourselves 5 or 6 points from safety. Go down and the squad will need a lot of change anyway so might as well be with a different man at the helm.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 NP's loyalty to certain players including Kasper is really costing us. Yeah it is. Kasper is very dodgy at this level. You see keepers like Courtois look superb in the air all over his box. Kasper looks shaky and always looks to punch it. Nugent isnt up to this level either And we need a real experienced premier defender also
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 We completely misjudged the gap between the leagues. Ten years to get back up and we're fvcking it up royally. Really frustrating. Again..how people underestimated the Prem was absurd.
Bamba's Babes Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 With the ball - good. Without the ball - clueless. I'm pretty sure we concede the same goal every week? Scramble in the area and third to the ball each time. RDL was unable/unwilling to stop the cross on the first goal and then was easily beaten in the air for the second. He was also apart of the mess for their third goal. He is a complete liability, as is Konchesky. Ulloa's unwillingness to shoot is staggering. Nugent is an abomination of epic proportions. Hate that smiley douchebag. Why did we take Ulloa off and bring Albrighton on? Who was he supposed to cross the ball to, Nugent? HAHAHAHA. Premier League isn't much fun.
Matt Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Again..how people underestimated the Prem was absurd. Ok, perhaps it was, but we've also looking shite against the two teams who came up with us and their teams aren't much better than ours according to some.
lgfualol Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I still can't believe we even scored. Shame the result of this game has probably dampened moral and boosted QPR's.
Bert Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 All of our goals were so easit avoidable today. I really think Kasper should be dealing with all three situations. Must start commanding his box more. Not one of there goals was further out than 8 yards. That's really poor. Cambiasso, Vardy and Schlupp all did well. Doesn't mean a lot in the grand scheme of things seeing as we've lost. At least we've found the net again though. Shit ourselves in the foot today though in all fairness. They were there for the taking and as the first 20 minutes shown we could've had more than one. Then we decided to sit back and let them do what they want. No pressure on them, no closing down. Get ourselves back Into the game at 2-2 and five minutes later we fail to clear a scrambled corner leaving their most dangerous striker unmarked. That's school boy stuff really.
ScouseFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Again..how people underestimated the Prem was absurd. it's really not. the bottom half of this league is ****ing awful. it has been for years. we're also ****ing awful at the moment. we're not bottom because the rest of this league is any good at all, we're bottom because we are catastrophically shit at defending and went 2 months without a goal. our performances for the last 2 months would've seen us lose to most championship sides, it's nothing to do with how amazingly good teams like ****ing qpr and west brom are.
RonnieTodger Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 it's really not. the bottom half of this league is ****ing awful. it has been for years. we're also ****ing awful at the moment. we're not bottom because the rest of this league is any good at all, we're bottom because we are catastrophically shit at defending and went 2 months without a goal. our performances for the last 2 months would've seen us lose to most championship sides, it's nothing to do with how amazingly good teams like ****ing qpr and west brom are. Absolutely. Says a lot about the league when you look at West Ham and Newcastle's positions.
RowlattsFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 There's no way Wes should be putting that in his own goal, there wasn't even pace on the cross. Kasper has to be at least punching the cross for the second. Third is a scramble and we probably didn't get the run of the ball. To hit the target only 4 times out of 19 shots is not good enough.
ScouseFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Absolutely. Says a lot about the league when you look at West Ham and Newcastle's positions. in fact yeah scrap "the bottom half of this league" being shit, literally everyone apart from chelsea, southampton and on their day city in this league is ****ing awful more often than not. we've put ourselves bottom, not anyone else.
ian_marshall Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Trying not to get too down about our current plight as I believe we can get out of it but we've got to stop conceding 2 goals every game as it really is asking a lot of the team to score 3 goals to win a game.
Burmesefox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 On the plus side Hamer is a great keeper. Oh and nugent wasn't good enough last season as a starting player. Nice chap but woefully short of the standard required.
