Guest Col city fan Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 it's really not. the bottom half of this league is ****ing awful. it has been for years. we're also ****ing awful at the moment. we're not bottom because the rest of this league is any good at all, we're bottom because we are catastrophically shit at defending and went 2 months without a goal. our performances for the last 2 months would've seen us lose to most championship sides, it's nothing to do with how amazingly good teams like ****ing qpr and west brom are.Rubbish..no, many teams aren't 'amazing'..who said they were? But they are better than the top lot in the Championship, by a long way.
StanSP Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 How is Matty James being criticised today ? He done well in the midfield and but for one shite free-kick I'm not sure what else he could have done to please those moaning?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I have good news... just found out that we aren't relegated yet, it would seem that this will not be decided after 13 games but after 38 matches... So being a point from survival we still have a chance
RowlattsFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Let's hoppe Upson can bring some sort of organisation to the back line. Wes does his best but he ain't a talker or a organiser.
justfoxes Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Well after seeing that and a few drinks later I can honestly say FU** it so hey at the moment we're bottom of the best league in the world we have not won in 8 games but is calling for PEARSONS head and causing upheaval to a so called relegation fighting team ?? Is getting a new manager going to get the best out of the best we have give or take a couple of signings in January will he keep us up who knows but isn't it better to stay with what you have the grass isn't greener etc etc etc etc ??!! This is our first season back in the big time following a ten year absence a decade of hurt of jubilation hurt and quite a few more hurts and then an absolute jubilation of major proportions of returning back to the premier league a feat we all thought a long shot a few years ago languishing in division one but we're here back in the big time and hey it's not going our way or how we would like it at the moment BUT WERE HERE AND I STILL THINK WERE HERE TO STAY FOR SOME TIME YET WHAT WITH THE BACKING OF TOP AND HIS FAMILY !! But calling for Nigel's head now only 3 months in of a 9 month season is ridiculous lets get behind the big man and the lads and I know most on here who I respect totally who go home and away and support our team each week would say the same let's stick with NIGEL a bit longer he's bound to change it round and I still believe we won't finish any lower than 15th !! ONWARDS AND UPWARDS AND IN LEICESTER CITY AND KING POWER WE TRUST !! I have good news... just found out that we aren't relegated yet, it would seem that this will not be decided after 13 games but after 38 matches... So being a point from survival we still have a chanceWell said that optimistic man !!
Bamba's Babes Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I hate it when people say, 'Rant over'.
smudgerfox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I'm certainly not a Pearson hater but the decision to bring Ulloa off and Albrighton makes no sense whatever. Albrighton serves no purpose without an expert header on the pitch. Another aspect:size. Virtually every QPR player is massive. Virtually all ours are tiny by comparison. This makes possession harder to retain, set pieces are harder to convert and defend. And sadly there is a lack of quality. Our wide defenders don't close off crosses, our keeper doesn't command the area, our strikers pass up golden chances, our midfield players get into good positions and waste them. Virtually every player has a weakness which can be exploited by a canny opposition Schmeichel - crosses De Laet - allows crosses and poor passer/crosser Konchesky - slow and lacks composure when crossing/shooting opportunities occur Morgan - surprisingly lacks authority though looks more comfortable than most Wasyl - lacks pace and frankly occasionally stupid - red card waiting to happen Schlupp - poor composure in promising positions, occasionally ragged under pressure James - closest to standard but decision making not always right Mahrez - wonderful at best but feeble defensively - he did cost us the first goal and wasteful Ulloa - virtually no threat on the ground at all Vardy wasteful The fact is before QPR scored Konchesky, Schlupp,Vardy and Mahrez all worked promising positions but we're utterly wasteful. At 1-1 Vardy had a one on one which would have won us the game. He had another at 2-1, in the Premiership you have to convert ....end of.
RonnieTodger Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 It's all very well saying that the Premier League is a step up, but ****ing QPR shouldn't be. We finished 22pts above them last season. It's not like they've adapted to the league well, either.
justfoxes Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 ONE WORD ABOUT SOME PEOPLE AND THAT IS. FICKLE !!!!!!!!!
Monsell1976 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 ONE WORD ABOUT SOME PEOPLE AND THAT IS. FICKLE !!!!!!!!! fickle for getting fed up not scoring for over 500 minutes, not got a win in how long, including against teams that are supposed to be in and around us, and fickle for questioning a manager that cannot get a result, or sort out a side that cannot defend, and struggles to create, and fickle for not being able to see where the next win will come from.
ousefox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Set up a few chances especially one for Vardy. You're saying Ulloa and Nuge were better than Riyad? Ulloa, yes. Nugent was just as bad
tylesta Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Would expect teams like Chelsea etc to have 32 shots at our goal but qpr no way!
theessexfox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Don't think fickle is the right word when frustrations have been built up over 2 months. Reactions now are far from knee-jerk.
1993fox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I'm not yet Pearson out but I'm running on short fuel for him atm. His post-match treatment doesn't put him in good stead either.
David Hankey Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Surely, we have to face facts and realise we don't have the squad to compete and win on a regular basis in the Premiership. 13 games in and bottom with games against Liverpool, Man City & Spurs all looming up - it doesn't look good.
lestajigs Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Put the FOOKING lotion in the basket! Rub the lotion in!!! Diam
GH1 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I appreciate everything he has has done for us, but it's time for a change
Vicki Vixen Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Watched this from the home-end unfortunately. QPR lined up exactly as we have for the last few games - playing 4 central midfielders behind two strikers. Yet both of their first half goals came from crosses from wide positions. The fact we let so many crosses into our box, including for those two goals, is just poor. By playing 4-4-2, we should have had been outnumbering them in the wide areas. They should not have been allowed to get nearly so many crosses in. DeLaet and Konchesky simply don't get close enough to their men. At this level if you invite the opposition to put crosses into the box you will get punished. Nugent was terrible when he came on and a number of times pulled out of challenges/headers. He looks well off the pace, and that booking in injury time just sums up his attitude at the moment. The endeavour is there from the rest of the side, unfortunately we are lacking quality in some positions which are absolutely critical in the PL.
RowlattsFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 How many chances did vardy have today, were they good chances? Seems to escape criticism at the moment. If Nugent had missed those chances...
Harry - LCFC Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 How many chances did vardy have today, were they good chances? Seems to escape criticism at the moment. If Nugent had missed those chances... I'm able to forgive him a bit because again he helped us out a lot by running into channels, being an out ball and making things happen when others wouldn't. He ought to have scored but we'd be worse off without his contributions.
SecretPro Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 How many chances did vardy have today, were they good chances? Seems to escape criticism at the moment. If Nugent had missed those chances... I said earlier - I like Vardy for pace, engine, legs but he can't finish for shit. Every shot seems to be a wellyjob. Also, where is Liam Moore? Is he injured? If not why has he been dropped?
st albans fox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 It's ok allowing crosses into your box if you have a commanding keeper. Ours is a shot stopper and as such, we have to get closer to the wide player, whether full back, wide midfielder or winger
ScouseFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I said earlier - I like Vardy for pace, engine, legs but he can't finish for shit. Every shot seems to be a wellyjob. Also, where is Liam Moore? Is he injured? If not why has he been dropped? because he was one of the main reasons we were conceding a ridiculous amount of goals every game and since then we sured up the defence considerably (until today).
Carl the Llama Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Fantastic result. With Burnley drawing that puts us square bottom, finally some real adversity to overcome - this is what the players have been waiting for. Surviving by staying comfortably in the middle of the table all year is boring.
